This article explains how to activate message and call notifications on WhatsApp using an Android device. You have to activate them in the "Settings" application of the device or open WhatsApp and access the "Settings" menu of the app itself.
Steps
Method 1 of 2: Enable Notifications in Android Device Settings
Step 1. Open the device's "Settings" application
On most devices, the "Settings" icon is represented by a gear or wrench and can be found in the application list. On some devices it is depicted as a toolbox.
Step 2. Tap Apps or Application Manager in "Settings"
Within the "Settings" menu of the device you will see one of these options. This will open the complete list of installed applications. In this section, you can change the settings associated with them.
