Buying ready-made sushi rolls to serve at a dinner or party can be very expensive. Perfect to delight multiple moments of the day, and loved by all gourmets on the planet, sushi rolls can also be comfortably prepared at home, simply by following this illustrated recipe!
Ingrediants
- Nori seaweed sheets
- Rice for Sushi
- Vegetables such as cucumbers or carrots, use creativity and imagination
- Fish or Meat of your choice, for example tuna, salmon, beef or chicken
- Rice wine (Mirin)
- Rice vinegar
- Sesame seeds (for sushi in reverse)
Steps
Step 1. Cook and season the rice following the instructions on the package
Step 2. Cut and prepare the vegetables and fish or meat
Step 3. Place the nori sheet on the bamboo mat with the shiny side facing down
Step 4. Transfer the cooked rice to a bowl
Step 5. Add the rice vinegar to moisten it, but don't overdo it so as not to over-wet it
Step 6. Wet your hands, and spread the rice over the seaweed
At the top of the seaweed, leave a line of about 2-3 cm free, without rice.
Step 7. With your thumb, make a central groove in the rice
Step 8. Fill it with the selected ingredients
Step 9. Roll up your sushi with the help of the bamboo mat
Step 10. With a sharp knife, cut the sushi roll into rolls of the desired thickness
Step 11. Enjoy your meal
Reverse Sushi
- Cook and season the rice following the instructions on the package.
- Cut and prepare the vegetables and fish or meat.
- Place the nori sheet on the bamboo mat, with the shiny side facing down.
- Transfer the cooked rice to a bowl.
- Spread the rice over the seaweed, then turn them upside down.
- Arrange the selected ingredients on the bottom of the seaweed.

Roll up the sushi and cut the cylinder to form rolls of the desired thickness. Enjoy your meal!

- Remember to wet your hands to prevent the rice from sticking to your fingers.
