This wikiHow teaches you how to turn on post notifications for someone you follow on TikTok using an Android device. Once you have activated notifications, you will receive one every time the user in question posts a new video. In the "Settings" menu you can activate other notifications.
Steps
Method 1 of 2: Turn on Publication Notifications
Step 1. Click on
This icon is represented by nine squares. Allows you to open the applications menu, from which you can view them all.
Step 2. Open TikTok on your Android device and log in
The icon represents a white musical note on a black background. It is located in the application menu.
Step 3. Tap the profile icon
The profile button features a human silhouette and is located in the lower right corner of the screen. This will bring up your profile page. If you are not already logged in, you will need to do so now.
Step 4. Select Followed
This button is located at the top of the screen, under your profile photo and name (on the left side). The list of users you follow will be displayed.
Step 5. Select a user
This will open his profile page. Select the user you are interested in receiving notifications from each time they publish a new post.

The three dots button is located in the upper right corner of his profile page. A pop-up menu associated with that user will open.
Step 7. Select Turn on post notifications
This will enable notifications for your publications. You will receive one every time a new video is posted.
Method 2 of 2: Turn on Other Notifications

Step 5. Select Push Notifications
This is the first option in the section titled "General". It is located next to an icon that depicts a bell.
Step 6. Tap
next to the notification options.
You will find a button next to the three notification options. If the button circle is positioned to the right and appears turquoise, it means that notifications have been activated. The three options are as follows:
- New followers - this option allows you to be notified when a user starts following you;
- I like - this option allows you to be notified when a user taps the heart icon on your videos;
- Comments - this option allows you to be notified when a user replies to your video by leaving a comment.
