This article teaches you how to add or update your username on Telegram using a mobile or tablet with an Android operating system.
Steps
Step 1. Open Telegram on your Android device
It's the icon of a white paper airplane on a light blue background. It is usually found in the app drawer.
Step 2. Tap ☰
It is located in the upper left.
Step 3. Tap Settings
It's almost at the bottom of the menu.
Step 4. Tap Username
It can be found in the "Info" section. If you've already set up a username, you'll see it here.
Step 5. Enter a username
The minimum length is 5 characters. You can use letters, numbers and underscores.
Step 6. Tap
It is located at the top right. The new username will be saved. Telegram users will be able to search for you by typing your username in the search bar.
