This article explains how to find your username or that of another contact on Telegram using an Android device.
Steps
Method 1 of 2: Find your Username
Step 1. Open the Telegram application on your device
The icon is a white paper airplane in a blue circle. You can find it in the application menu of your mobile or tablet.
Step 2. Tap the three horizontal lines icon
This button is located in the upper left corner of the chat list. It will open the menu panel on the left side of the screen.
If Telegram shows you a specific conversation, tap the button to go back, in order to reopen the chat list and see the menu button
Step 3. Tap Settings on the menu
This option is located next to a gear icon at the bottom of the menu panel. Allows you to open your account tab on a new page.
Step 4. Find the Username field in the section titled "Account"
This field displays your current username and is located under the phone number, at the top of the account card.
If a username is not associated with the account, the field will read "None". You can press it and set a new username to associate with the account
Method 2 of 2: Find a Contact Username
Step 1. Open the Telegram application on your device

Step 2. Tap the white magnifying glass icon
This button is located in the upper right corner of the chat list. This will open the search page and a bar with the word "Search" will appear at the top of the screen.
Should Telegram show you a specific conversation, tap the button to go back in order to reopen the chat list and see the magnifying glass
Step 3. Enter a contact name
Search for a contact by typing their name in the "Search" bar. As you write, relevant results will appear on the screen.
Step 4. Tap the contact you are interested in on the list
This will open a full screen conversation with the user in question.
Alternatively, you can tap a conversation in the chat list
Step 5. Tap the contact's name or profile photo
This information appears at the top of the chat. Tap the name or picture to open the account card on a new page.
Step 6. Look for the Username field in the section titled "Info"
This field displays the contact's username and is located under their phone number, at the top of the account card.
