This article shows you how to delete a comment from Facebook. Within the Facebook platform there are two types of comments that can be removed: the comments that are published relating to a post and the comments that other users leave at the bottom of the posts that you publish yourself. Remember that it is not possible to delete comments posted by other users on posts that you have not created yourself.
Steps
Method 1 of 2: Desktop and Laptop Systems
Step 1. Log in to the Facebook website
Paste the URL into the address bar of your computer's internet browser. If you are already logged into your Facebook account, you will be redirected to your personal page.
If you are not logged in yet, you will need to enter your e-mail address and security password
Step 2. Find the post referenced by the comment you want to delete
If the post is published on your personal Facebook page, go to your profile card in the upper right corner of the page. Otherwise, go to the personal page of the person who published the post and locate him in the list that will appear.
Step 3. Open the comment section
In some cases the comments section will appear automatically, but otherwise select the link Comments: [number_comments] placed at the bottom right of the post.
The "[number_comments]" parameter displays the number of comments relating to the post in question. For example, in the case of a post with 10 comments the indicated link will look like this Comments: 10.
Step 4. Move the mouse pointer over the comment to be deleted
In this way the icon ⋯ will be displayed on the right side of the comment box.
Step 5. Click the ⋯ icon
It is placed in the right part of the comment box in question. If you are deleting a comment that you have posted yourself, a drop-down menu will appear, while if you are deleting a comment left by another user on your post, a pop-up window will appear.
Step 6. Press the Delete button when prompted
It is blue in color and is located inside the pop-up window that appeared. This will remove the comment in question from the post.
If you are trying to delete your own personal comment, you will need to choose the option first Delete placed in the drop-down menu that appeared and only then you can press the blue button indicated.
Method 2 of 2: Mobile Devices
Step 1. Launch the Facebook app
Tap its blue icon with the white letter "f" inside. If you are already logged in to your account, your personal page will appear with posts from all the people you follow.
If you are not logged in yet, you will need to enter your e-mail address and security password
Step 2. Find the post referenced by the comment you want to delete
If the post is published on your personal Facebook page, access your profile tab at the bottom of the screen. Otherwise, access the personal page of the person who published the post and locate it in the list of comments that will appear.
If you are using an Android device, the Facebook profile icon is located at the top left of the screen
Step 3. Open the comment section
In some cases the comments section will appear automatically, but otherwise select the link Comments: [number_comments] placed at the bottom right of the post.

Step 4. Press and hold your finger on the comment you want to delete
A context menu will appear after about one second.
Step 5. Tap the Delete item
It is one of the options listed in the menu that appeared.
Step 6. Press the Delete button when prompted
The selected comment will be deleted from the post.
