This wikiHow teaches you how to delete a photo you used as your Facebook profile picture and remove it from your account using an Android device.
Steps
Step 1. Open the Facebook application on your Android device
The icon looks like a white "f" in a blue box and is in the application list. Click on it and the Facebook "News Section" will open.
- If access does not occur automatically, enter your e-mail or phone number and password to log in.
- If at the time of opening Facebook you were to view a profile page or a particular photo, click on the button at the top left to return to the "News Section".
Step 2. Click on the icon that represents three horizontal lines
It is located in the upper right corner of the screen. This button opens the navigation menu.
Step 3. Tap on your name at the top of the menu
This will open your profile page.
Step 4. Scroll down and tap on the Photos tab
It is located between the "In brief" and "Friends" tabs, under your name and information about your profile.
Step 5. Swipe left on the screen until you find the "Albums" tab
This tab allows you to view the list of all your albums, including "Journal Photos", "Mobile Uploads", "Profile Pictures" and custom albums.
Step 6. Click on the Profile Pictures album
This album allows you to display a grid with all the images you have used as a profile photo in the past. Your current photo will appear at the top of the screen.
Step 7. Click on the photo you want to delete
Find the profile picture you want to delete in the album grid and press on it to open it in full screen.
Step 8. Click on the icon with three vertical dots
It is located in the upper right corner of the screen. This button opens a drop-down menu with various options, including edit, delete, save or share the image.
If you don't see this button on the screen, press the device menu key. The same drop-down menu will open
Step 9. Click on Delete Photo from the menu
This option will allow you to remove the picture from the profile. You will need to confirm the operation in a pop-up window.
Step 10. Click on Delete in the pop-up that appeared
This option is written in blue lettering and is located in the lower right corner. It allows you to permanently delete the image and remove it from the profile.
