You are sleeping peacefully and soundly, and the alarm goes off at its best. You are too tired to get up. Maybe you try to ignore it even though it breaks your eardrums. Maybe you use the snooze function like there's no tomorrow. Find out how to get up as soon as it starts ringing.
Steps
Step 1. Get up at the same time every morning
If you wake up at six to go to school or work, but sleep until noon on weekends, the internal clock is disrupted. Getting up at the same time every day allows your body to get used to this rhythm.
Step 2. Set the alarm
Also make sure you do it right! You definitely don't want to make the mistake of aiming for it at six in the afternoon (when you have a snack) instead of at six in the morning. Set it to the highest volume possible (sensibly and without bothering anyone). Move it close to the head of the bed, but keep it far enough away that you have to get up to turn it off. Pick the nastiest ringtone there is (think a horn or air horn). If you get used to getting up immediately, you can later try to set it up by opting for a more pleasant song or sound, but the volume should still be loud.
If you recently bought a new alarm clock, take a test run to make sure you hear it and that it works well. Does the alarm clock run on batteries or does it need to be charged? Change the batteries regularly and give them the rope to prepare it
Step 3. As you get under the sheets and get ready to sleep, tell yourself that you will get out of bed as soon as you hear the alarm go off for the first time
Make a plan to get up at the scheduled time set on your device. Make it a point not to press the snooze button or ignore the ringtone.
Step 4. Try to sleep well and make sure you get enough rest
It's impossible to wake up at five in the morning if you only have four hours of sleep behind you. Make sure the mattress, pillows, and blankets are comfortable. Prepare rituals before getting under the sheets, such as brushing your teeth and face. The bedroom needs to be dark, cool, and quiet (or try sleeping with white background noise).
Step 5. When you hear the alarm sound, you probably immediately think it is the first of a long series of annoying moments that are there waiting for you
Do you think it will be a school or work day like many others, long and exhausting from the early hours of the morning. Instead, imagine it ringing for an emergency, such as a fire alarm or police siren. Pretend you have a big responsibility: if you don't have to get up and turn it off, it will explode. In short, associate the sound of the alarm clock with an alarming and worrying moment to get the adrenaline flowing.
Step 6. As soon as you hear the alarm, get out of bed immediately
Uncover yourself immediately and turn it off.
Step 7. If you don't share a room with someone who gets up at a different time, turn on all the lights, open the curtains and blinds to wake up to the sun's rays
If you like, you can also open the windows wide, let in fresh air and the sounds of nature. They help get you moving.
Step 8. Respect your wife's or brother's morning habits to avoid annoying this person
However, if you really have to (and are kind), use this factor to motivate yourself. Put the alarm away from the bed and get up immediately to turn it off, avoiding disturbing your roommate. Once on your feet, it's done!
Step 9. Give yourself a pat on the back for getting up immediately after hearing the alarm
In the future, you will get used to it, you will no longer panic like before and you will be able to get up even if the alarm does not go off.
