Fold a bill into a heart shape, and keep it in your wallet or give it to a special friend as a reminder of a nice evening spent together. Valuable banknotes can be folded to give a “special” touch to a gift from a family member or friend.
Steps
Step 1. Use a banknote in good condition, preferably new
Fold the bottom right corner diagonally.
Step 2. Unfold the corner
Then, fold the top right corner diagonally.
Step 3. Unfold the corner
The two folds should form an X. Fold the right side of the note back to the center of the X.
Step 4. Unfold it
Below. Tuck the corners inside.
- Tip: At this point you should have only one pair of tabs, folded diagonally, pointing upwards. You should also have three flaps of tabs pointing down.
- Not sure? Unfold the bill and follow the folds on it to show you the correct orientation.
Step 5. Turn the bill over
Step 6. Fold the bottom left corner to the center
Step 7. Unfold and flatten the corner
Step 8. Fold the bottom corner towards the center crease
Step 9. Unfold and flatten the corner
Step 10. Repeat on the other corner
Step 11. Repeat with the other three tips
Step 12. Fold the right and left corners again
Step 13. Insert a coin in the center if you prefer

Advice
- If you don't have any banknotes handy, or you just prefer a different color, or maybe you don't feel like giving money to someone, you can use a rectangular sheet of paper measuring 6.6cm by 15.6cm. A letter opener will help you get right angles.
- The same operation can be performed with banknotes of different sizes and countries. With a £ 5 or £ 10 (British pound) note you will need to skip step # 7.
- It will be easier to make creases on a flat surface.
- Work hard.
Warnings
- After this operation it will be difficult to use the same banknote in a vending machine.
- Be careful not to tear the bill.
