Fried cheese balls are a quick and easy delight to make, it will take less than 30 minutes. They are great for parties or just to pamper yourself a little.
Ingrediants
- Cheese (you can choose between feta, brie, gorgonzola, emmenthal etc …).
- Flour or breadcrumbs.
- 1 - 2 eggs (depending on how many balls you want to prepare).
- 60 ml of milk.
- Fry oil.
Steps
Step 1. Grate the cheese into the bowl
Step 2. Pour in the milk and mix everything with a spoon until you get a sticky cheese mixture that tends to clump
Step 3. Turn on the fryer or heat the oil in a large pot over the stove
Step 4. While the oil is heating up, break an egg in a second bowl
Step 5. Pour the flour or breadcrumbs into a third container
Step 6. With a spoon or your hand, take a good amount of cheese and roll it into a ball
Step 7. Dip the ball into the egg
Step 8. Now dip it in flour or breadcrumbs
Make sure it is covered evenly.
Step 9. Repeat the process until all the cheese has been turned into breaded balls
Step 10. Cook the balls in the fryer for 7 minutes or until they are golden and crisp on the outside
You can fry them all at once or divide them into small batches, it all depends on the capacity of the fryer or pan.
Step 11. Transfer the balls to absorbent paper to remove excess grease and let them cool a bit before enjoying them

- Add herbs and spices to make the cheese taste more interesting.
