What's better than a cake? Some balls of cake! This recipe will allow you to easily create fun and delicious cake pralines that you can decorate and stick into sticks.
Ingrediants
- 1 ready-made cake
- 120 ml of liqueur - if you prefer not to use the liqueur, replace it, wholly or partially, with cream or glaze for cakes
- Chocolate for sweets
- 1 pack of colored Zucchini
Steps
Method 1 of 2: Making Cake Balls
Step 1. Prepare the cake following the appropriate recipe and then let it cool completely
Step 2. Crumble the cake using a food processor
Alternatively, use your hands.
Step 3. Pour the crumbs into a large bowl
Wet them with the liqueur (or your chosen ingredient).
Step 4. Stir to blend the ingredients
Step 5. With a spoon take a small amount of cake without pressing it
Step 6. Gently form a ball
Don't roll it.
Step 7. Place it on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper
Step 8. Freeze the cake balls for at least 30 minutes
Step 9. Insert a lollipop stick into the frozen cake balls
Method 2 of 2: Glaze them with chocolate
Step 1. Melt the chocolate
Use the microwave oven or a double boiler. Stir frequently.
Step 2. Dip the frozen cake balls into the chocolate cream by turning them sideways
In this way the ball will not risk coming off the stick.
Step 3. Place them on the parchment paper, with the stick facing up

If you want to sprinkle them with colored sugars and then put them to cool in the freezer.
Step 4. Finished
Advice
- Recommended liqueurs: Amaretto, Frangelico, Kahlua.
- Make balls that are firm and pressed so that they remain more easily intact and stick to the stick. Don't overdo it so they aren't overly dense.
