This article shows you how to see the list of websites you have visited on Safari using a Mac, iPhone or iPad.
Steps
Method 1 of 2: iPhone and iPad
Step 1. Open Safari
The icon is a blue compass with a red and white needle inside. It is usually found on the Home screen.
Step 2. Click on the open book icon
It is located in the icon bar at the bottom of the screen.
Step 3. Press the clock button
It is the third button at the top of the screen. The list of websites you have visited on Safari will be displayed.
If you're signed in with the same Apple ID that you use to sign in on your Mac, your computer's Safari history will also appear in this list
Step 4. Delete the history (optional)
If you want to remove all traces of your browser history, follow these steps:
- Tap "Delete" in the lower right corner of the history screen.
- Tap a time frame to delete the history of this period only. To clear the entire log, select "All".
Method 2 of 2: macOS
Step 1. Open Safari on the Mac
The icon is a blue compass with a red and white needle inside. You should see it in the Dock, which is at the bottom of the screen.
Step 2. Click on the History menu
It is located in the menu bar at the top of the screen.
Step 3. Click on Show all history
The list of websites you have visited will appear.
If you're signed in on your computer with the same Apple ID that you used on your iPhone or iPad, you'll also see the sites you've visited on those devices
Step 4. Search for a site (optional)
To find a particular site, start typing in the search bar at the top of the screen. A list of relevant results from the history will appear. Click on a site to upload it to Safari.
Step 5. Clear history (optional)
To delete all websites from the history, follow these steps:
- Click on the "History" menu.
- Click on "Clear history…".
- Select a time range from the drop-down menu.
- Click on "Clear history".
