This article teaches you how to clear a router's system log using a desktop browser. The system log records router operations, system events, and processes.
Steps

Step 1. Open a browser on your computer
You can use whatever you like, like Firefox, Chrome, Safari or Opera.

Step 2. Enter the router's IP address in the address bar
Click on the address bar at the top of the browser, then type in the router's default IP address.
- In general, the default IP address is 192.168.0.1. If that doesn't work, you can try 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.2.1.
- If none of the addresses work, try restarting the router or disconnecting it from the internet.

Step 3. Enter your username and password
This will give you access to the admin interface.

Step 4. Click the Login button
This will take you to the router's admin interface.

Step 5. Click on the Status tab in the navigation bar
The "Status" button is located in the navigation bar of the administrator interface. Click on it.
- Depending on your router model, this button may also be called "Advanced" or have a similar name.
- In most cases, the navigation bar is at the top of the page or on the left.

Step 6. Click System Log or Event-administration log in the navigation bar.
This button allows you to open the router's system log in a new page.

Step 7. Click the Clear Log button
This will allow you to clear the router's system log history.
