Have you just finished creating the new 'killer application' for Android devices and would you like to publish it on the 'Play Store' to make it available to everyone? No problem, this tutorial shows you how.
Steps
Step 1. Make sure you have created, tested and compiled your application properly, complying with the criteria and rules described in the Android Developer's Guide
Step 2. Create a developer profile on the Google 'Play Store'
- Go to the official website of the 'Play Store' and log in using your Google account. If you don't have a Google account, you can create one directly at this link.
- To create a profile as a developer, you will need to provide some information: your name, your e-mail address, your website URL and a phone number.
Step 3. The application fee is $ 25
This is a one-time fee, required of all developers who sign up, even if they want to publish free applications. You can pay using a credit card or the 'Google Checkout' payment system.
Step 4. Accept the 'Developer Distribution Agreement for Android Market' that is offered to you
Step 5. When you have finished the registration procedure you will be ready to load your application
Press the relevant button to start the process of uploading your application to the 'Play Store'.
Step 6. Upload the compiled '.apk' file of your application to the 'Play Store'
You will need to provide some information relating to the nature of your app by filling out the form that appeared, you can also upload all the material concerning your work, such as screenshots relating to the operation of the application or promotional graphics. Within the form, you will need to indicate the name of your application and provide a description, the category it belongs to, the price and the language in which it will be distributed.
