This article explains how to locate and download an APK file (the installation file of an app for Android devices) from the Google Play Store using an Android device or a computer's internet browser.
Steps
Part 1 of 2: Copy an App's Page URL
Step 1. Go to the Google Play Store on your Android device
Find and select the Google Play Store icon
. It is listed within the "Applications" panel of the device.
Alternatively, you can access the Google Play Store using the browser of any computer and download the APK file to the hard drive of the device
Step 2. Find and select the app whose APK file you want to download
You can browse the categories of the store or you can use the search bar located at the top of the page.
By selecting the name of an app, the Google Play Store page will be displayed containing the detailed information of the program
Step 3. Press the ⋮ button located in the upper right corner of the page
A drop-down menu will appear.
Step 4. Choose the Share item from the menu that appeared
Sharing options will be listed in a pop-up window.
Step 5. Select the Copy to clipboard item displayed in the window that appears
The URL of the Google Play Store page of the app in question will be copied to the system clipboard of the device.
At this point you can use the URL in combination with an "APK downloader" and download the app installation file in APK format locally
Part 2 of 2: Download an APK File
Step 1. Launch your internet browser
You can use the browser of your Android device or that of a computer.
Step 2. Visit the "Evozi APK Downloader" website using your browser
Type the address https://apps.evozi.com/apk-downloader into the address bar of the browser and press the Enter key on your keyboard.
Alternatively you can choose to use any other website that provides the "APK downloader" service. Do a Google search to consult a large list of third-party websites that offer this type of service and choose the one you prefer
Step 3. Paste the URL of the Google Play Store page of the app whose APK file you want to download into the text field displayed at the top of the page
Select the text field with the right mouse button (or keep your finger pressed on the screen where it is located), then choose the option Paste from the menu that will appear.
Step 4. Tap or click the blue Generate Download Link button
In this way the program will identify the app in question within the Google Play Store and generate the link to be able to download the relative APK file.
Step 5. Tap or click the green Click here to download button
It is located below the blue button Generate Download Link. The APK file of the indicated app will be downloaded locally on your smartphone, tablet or computer.
