This article will tell you how to search for a place on Google Maps to create a placeholder and then remove it using an Android OS device.
Steps
Step 1. Open Google Maps on your Android device
The application icon looks like a red pin on a miniature map. It is located in the app menu.
Step 2. Press on the search bar at the top of the screen
This will allow you to write the name of a place and search for it on the map. The keyboard will appear from the bottom of the screen.
Step 3. Enter the name of the place you want to mark
You can type it in or paste the name or address of the place you want to search.
Step 4. Tap the button
on the keyboard.
This key is located in the lower right corner of the keyboard. It will allow you to search for the place indicated on the map and place a red pin on it.
Step 5. Tap the X button on the search bar
The search will be completed and the red pin will be removed from the map.
