This article explains how to reset the keyboard dictionary of an iPhone or iPad and restore it to factory settings. This process will delete your entire typing history and remove any misspelled words that were captured by the autocorrect feature.
Steps
Step 1. Open the "Settings" application on your iPhone or iPad
Look for the icon
on the Home screen or in the applications folder and press on it to open the "Settings".
Step 2. Select General in the "Settings"
This option is located next to the icon
in the "Settings" menu.
Step 3. Scroll down and hit Reset
This option is found at the bottom of the "General" menu.
Step 4. Click on Reset Keyboard Dictionary
This option will allow you to delete your keyboard typing history, returning it to factory settings.
Step 5. Enter your password
This will verify your identity, allowing you to reset the keyboard dictionary.
You will need to confirm the operation in a new pop-up
Step 6. In the pop-up, select the red option Restore dictionary
The operation will be confirmed, restoring the keyboard dictionary. The typing history should then be reset to the factory settings.
