Physical education is compulsory at school, whether you like it or not. If during this class (or after) you find yourself sweaty, embarrassed and / or tired, read these tips to fix it.
Steps
Method 1 of 4: Sweat
Step 1. If you sweat in PE class, then you are doing it right
The purpose of going to the gym is just that.
Step 2. Sweat bothers everyone a little, because you worry about looking awful and smelling bad
In this case, remember to shower before and after class. If you can't, wipe away the sweat with baby wipes or wet wipes.
Step 3. Learn to fight sweat
Step 4. Learn to control bad odors emanating from the body
Step 5. Keep a deodorant and a strong scented perfume / cologne in your backpack, but remember:
these products only disguise the smell, and may even make it worse.
Step 6. Remember to breathe correctly while exercising
This will speed up your heart rate, but you will sweat less.
Step 7. Put on clean clothes
Old sweat stains come back after sweating a second time, so be sure to do your laundry once you get home.
Method 2 of 4: Embarrassment
Step 1. Try to understand why you feel uncomfortable:
maybe you are afraid of giving off a bad smell or you fear that you are not good at gymnastics. Perhaps the idea of falling and being laughed at by others terrifies you. If your class does PE with other students, it may be that the embarrassment comes from the presence of strangers.
Step 2. Remember that many others feel embarrassed for the same reasons as you
Learn to love yourself, in whatever context or place you are.
Step 3. If you are a new student, it is not difficult to feel embarrassed, but try the following techniques to get used to the class
Step 4. Ignore the presence of others
If someone is laughing at you, they are probably simply trying to improve their self-esteem, which is undoubtedly low. Don't answer him: don't even give him this satisfaction.
Step 5. Try to have fun in class
Since you are forced to go there, you better find the positives. You may not be an athlete, you may hate football or certain exercises, but there are many sports and activities you can do in the gym. Don't be embarrassed and find something you like. You might get a nice surprise; after learning to enjoy an activity, you will enjoy going to physical education a lot more than before.
Step 6. Learn to cope with the competitive nature of sports
Method 3 of 4: Fatigue
Step 1. Get enough sleep
Movement will make you tired anyway, but if you don't rest well, you will actually feel shattered by the end of the lesson. The amount of sleep you need depends on many factors.
Step 2. Eat healthy
A healthy, nutrient-rich diet can give you extra energy for physical activity.
Step 3. Staying in motion will make you tired, but exercise is one of the most effective and natural ways to gain more energy in the short and long term
Step 4. Try to keep a protein bar or energy drink in your backpack
Method 4 of 4: Trouble in Swimming Lesson
Step 1. If you are forced to take swimming lessons during PE, don't worry
For some privacy, change into a shower stall and don't act like it's the most dramatic moment of your life.
Step 2. If you are a girl and you are on your period, fear not
Learn to use tampons: there are also thin ones, suitable for those who have not yet lost their virginity. Can't you just use them? Ask your parents to write a justification and agree with the teacher to decide how to make up for the missed lesson.
Step 3. Do not go to the pool if you are sick or still healing
Step 4. Try to have fun
If you understand that you feel uncomfortable and sulk, others will remember the actually embarrassing moments longer - have a laugh and they will forget about it.
Advice
- Before using an antiperspirant or deodorant, remember to wash your armpits, otherwise the sweat will collect and the bad smell will be even more persistent.
- If you cannot exercise for a specific reason, don't forget to bring your justification, written by a doctor or parent.
- If you get bored, keep moving, but daydream to distract yourself.
- Try to have fun, however much you hate playing sports.
Warnings
- Drink lots of water while exercising.
- Someone is unpleasant by nature. If they make fun of you, you just have to pretend nothing has happened.
- Energy bars and drinks, especially those that contain caffeine, give you a boost at first, but cause an almost abrupt collapse, making you feel more tired than before.
- Always dress appropriately for sports. If necessary, take what you will wear with you and change in the changing rooms (for example if you go to the swimming pool).
