Donuts are a fun snack to make. Cooking them at home is a great way to spend quality time with family members of all ages. Donuts are essentially just fried dough rings, so they can be easily prepared in your kitchen.
Ingrediants
For the Donuts:
- Raw dough for biscuits
- 480-720 ml of Frying Oil
For the Icing:
- 110 g of Butter
- 60 ml of Whole Milk
- 1 tablespoon of Corn Syrup
- 2 teaspoons of Vanilla Extract
- 120 g of Dark Chocolate
- 250 g of powdered sugar
Steps
Part 1 of 3: Making the Donuts
Step 1. Using a medium-high heat, heat the oil and bring it to a temperature of 190 ° C
Step 2. While waiting for the oil to heat, shape the biscuits from the raw dough and arrange them on a flat surface
Step 3. Make a hole in the center of each cookie
You can use the neck of a bottle to do this. (The resulting small circles of dough can also be fried and eaten.)
Step 4. Using kitchen tongs, dip each cookie in the hot oil and cook until soft and golden
This step will be very quick, it won't take long for the dough to be cooked!
Step 5. Arrange your donuts on a paper towel to cool, thus removing excess oil
Part 2 of 3: Making the Chocolate Glaze
Step 1. Pour the butter, corn syrup, vanilla extract and milk into a saucepan, heat the ingredients until the butter is melted
Step 2. Reduce the heat, add the chocolate, and whisk until you have a creamy mixture
Step 3. Remove the pot from the heat, add the icing sugar and mix until a uniform consistency is achieved
Step 4. Let the icing sit for 30 minutes
To keep it liquid and creamy, transfer it to a bowl and place it on a second, larger bowl filled with hot water.
Part 3 of 3: Frosting the Donuts
Step 1. Using a frosting spatula, spread the frosting over the donuts
(Alternatively, drop it flush on the donuts or dip them in the bowl!)
