There is no one way that can fit everyone to be a friend of nature, but everyone must do their part to protect the environment. Here are some tips to be respectful of nature and save the environment.
Steps
Step 1. Travel by train, bus, bicycle or on foot as often as you can
Try to travel a little by plane and try to take a vacation close to home from time to time.
Step 2. Don't throw away toys, books, or CDs that you no longer need
Bring them to an association that gives alms and helps the poorest rather.
Step 3. Do not fill the bathtub with water
Instead, take a shower.
Step 4. Do not let the water run while brushing your teeth
If the faucet is leaking, try to fix it - it could waste up to 50 liters of water in a year
Step 5. Reduce, Reuse and Recycle
Some ideas for doing this are:
- Reuse plastic bags when you go shopping.
- Use rechargeable batteries.
- Buy 100% recyclable items.
- Recycle soda containers and cartons.
- Give old clothes to a thrift store or charity. The clothes can be laundered as rags or as blankets for pets.
Step 6. Use low-energy light bulbs
In addition to making you spend less, they will also last longer than regular light bulbs.
Step 7. Throw the garbage into its special bin
Also try to produce as little as possible.
For smokers: carry around an old film and put your cigarette butts there instead of throwing them on the ground
Step 8. Try to think about the environment even when you eat
- Buy fresh produce. Frozen, canned and processed ones need more energy to prepare. Buy fresh products - they are healthier for both you and the environment.
- Eat organic foods whenever possible, locally grown, seasonal, and not genetically modified.
Step 9. Eat less meat
Meat production requires a lot of water and energy: try to eat as little as possible, or in any case decrease the portions of meat.
Step 10. Buy some chickens to put in your garden
A chicken makes you recycle a lot of kitchen waste and in return gives you lots of eggs.
Advice
- Plant some trees and shrubs.
- Put post-its around the house to remind you to turn off the lights when you're not using them.
