This article explains how to create a Facebook account that references a fake identity. Creating a fake Facebook profile is a fairly simple procedure, the problem is being able to make it credible in the eyes of other people. After outlining all the account details, you can create it using the Facebook website on your computer or using the app for iOS and Android devices.
Steps
Part 1 of 3: Create a Fake and Credible Account
Step 1. Create a new email account.
You shouldn't use your real email address to create a fake Facebook account, so create a new email account that you will use exclusively for this profile.
- Remember never to use the fake email address to use services that lead back to your real identity (for example, your home banking account or subscription services).
- Use a different email provider than the one you use for your real Facebook account. For example, if you used a Gmail email address to create the real account, use a Yahoo or Outlook address to create the fake one.
Step 2. Determine the identity of the fake account
In this case, you don't need to provide a lot of personal information on Facebook, but you should keep a few things in mind.
- Hobbies and interests: Write a list of things your alter ego likes. For example the hobbies, the activities he carries out daily and what are his leisure activities.
- Date of birth: Choose a date of birth that is consistent with the age you have chosen for your alter ego. Remember that it must also be consistent with the interests and hobbies you have chosen to include in the profile.
- Name: Choose a name that is common enough not to attract attention, but not so common that it is suspicious. Avoid using names like "John Smith". Try to choose a name that was popular in the year you chose as your date of birth.
Step 3. Follow the "less is more" rule, the less the better
It is okay to add credible information to your profile, but that no one will ever be able to verify, such as photos, personal interests and the location where your alter ego lives, but try not to overdo it. Entering details into the account that other people are able to verify and refute will make the profile lose credibility and eventually it will become clear that it is a bogus account.
- For example, do not list a specific school or place of work on your profile, as it is very easy to determine whether a person has graduated from a certain institution or where they actually work.
- The more vague your fake profile information, the more credible it will be.
Step 4. Limit the number of similarities between your real Facebook profile and the fake one
The place where you live, age, name, current job and all other basic information of the fake profile should be totally different from your real account. Remember that the way you interact with other people should also be very different.
- For example, if you use correct grammar and punctuation when writing on your real account, try to appear a little less accurate when using the fake profile.
- No one will be able to check if things like age and interests are true or false, so feel free to write what you want without fear that someone can check and unmask you.
- On the fake profile you must avoid adding more than one or two friends you really know. Also, you shouldn't add as friends people you may never have met without attending a specific place or event (for example, a school).
Step 5. Use real photographs
Using random photos taken by Google is the safest and most direct way to blow profile credibility, so you'll only need to take and use real photos taken by yourself. Make sure there are no details in the photographs that could accurately reveal where you live.
For example, use a photograph of a normal outdoor green space instead of a specific street in the city where you live
Step 6. Avoid showing your face
Of course, you absolutely don't want anyone to be able to associate your face and therefore your identity with the bogus account. That's why you need to avoid posting photos of yourself on this profile.
- Pictures of your friends and family are also included.
- There are plenty of people who like to post photos of their four-legged friends (or in your case of others' pets) instead of their own, so don't think that not showing your face on Facebook is suspicious behavior.
Step 7. Refresh your friends list
If you don't have anyone to interact and socialize with, it won't matter how credible your profile is, so add friends. Try adding people who live in the same area as your fake alter ego and users who frequent groups and have interests in common with those listed in your profile.
Remember that harassing people using a fake Facebook profile, in addition to being wrong, could lead to suspension or deactivation of the account
Step 8. Like the pages of your choice
Click on the button I like pages that are likely to be liked by the identity of the fake profile, so that they are inserted within the "Like" section of the account. This is a very simple method to make the profile more complete and credible.
Step 9. Don't talk, show
People very rarely speak or write about their personality or trivial topics. Explicitly writing personal facts with the hope of filling in the gaps or gaps in your profile will only set off a wake-up call in the heads of the people you've entered in the "Friends" section of your account.
To describe your personality traits, you should use the "About" section of your profile, "Like" your favorite pages, keep your list of interests up to date, and so on
Step 10. Limit conversations with other people on Messenger
Also in this case it is good to adopt the golden rule of "less is more", so better not to abound. The more you reveal details and information about yourself and what you do, the easier it will be for others to discover that the account is fake. Unless you absolutely need to discuss something specific privately with another Facebook user, avoid using the Messenger app completely.
If you have chosen to chat using the Messenger app, remember to adopt the same grammar and style that you used in the posts and in the profile description (for example, if you have chosen to write the posts informally remember to adopt the same style when using the Messenger app)
Step 11. Be active
Most people who use Facebook are very active on their accounts, so make sure you do all the activities you do on your real account on a daily basis, such as updating your friends list, "Like" content, posting something. from time to time and occasionally change where you work and your contacts.
- To log in to your fake account, you can use the browser's incognito mode. This way, you won't need to log out of the real profile first.
- If you need to temporarily disconnect from your bogus Facebook account, consider updating your status with a phrase like "I'm going on vacation for a while, bye.". When you log back in again, you will have an excuse to post some photos of the place you visited during the holidays.
- Remember that sporadically publishing posts related to real-life events will strengthen the credibility of the profile and the content it displays. For example, you could post a first year post at your new job.
