This article explains the simple steps to take to set up a PayPal profile. Paypal is eBay's default payment system, so if you are thinking of starting an intense trading activity, creating your own PayPal profile is definitely recommended.
Steps
Step 1. Connect to the PayPal site
Step 2. Select the 'Register' button, located in the upper right corner of the main page of the site
Step 3. Select your country and language
Step 4. Choose which type of profile to register
There are different types of accounts, with different types of costs. Choose the 'Start Now' button for the type of profile you have decided to create.
- If you have a VAT number, or a company, you can choose between three different options, each with different costs and benefits:
- Personal Account: free, but in which your customers will have to follow a path through PayPal in order to complete their purchase.
- Premier: free, but with deductions on each payment received, in a percentage ranging from 1, 8 to 3, 4%, to which 0, 35 € must be added. Customers will make the payment directly, from the site where they place the order, without having to go through PayPal.
- Business: free, but with deductions on each payment received, in a percentage ranging from 1, 8 to 3, 4%, to which 0, 35 € must be added. Customers will make the payment directly, from the site where they place the order, without having to go through PayPal. The business account also allows multi-user management of the account.
Step 5. When prompted by the registration process, enter your contact information, as well as a login password of course
Use your usual e-mail address, to be able to use it in case you forget your password.
The password provided must contain at least 8 characters. Memorize it and keep it in a safe place, so as not to lose it or forget it
Step 6. To complete the creation of the profile, you must correctly enter the code that appeared on the screen
Step 7. When finished, enjoy your new PayPal profile
Most likely, you will receive an e-mail from PayPal regarding the activation of your profile. Open it and simply select the 'Activate' item. In this way your profile will be activated and at the same time you will be redirected to a new window where you can log in to your new PayPal profile for the first time.
