You're on your way home quietly with rare items when boom! A Creeper appears out of nowhere and makes you explode. Or a Spider jumps on you from the roof of your house and you can't get rid of it. It happens often. This article should help you kill these monsters effectively.
Steps
Step 1. The subsections are in order of difficulty, starting with the easiest monster to eliminate
Method 1 of 7: Zombies
Step 1. Make sure there are no other enemies around you
Step 2. Shoot arrows at the Zombie
Zombies are not very strong, and you can also attack them with a sword. In version 1.9 they do more damage, so be careful in the future
Method 2 of 7: Spiders
Step 1. Spiders can climb objects and jump on you
Step 2. Turn up the volume a lot but not too much, and you will be able to hear the monster outside
If you hear the sound of the Spider, grab a sword.
Step 3. You must have a good sword and some food
Step 4. If you hear the Spider on the roof run out quickly and attack it
Method 3 of 7: Skeletons
Step 1. If there are two Skeletons attacking you, go back
Step 2. They will use a bow, so use one too
Step 3. Fully charge the bow and peek out of your hiding place to shoot the arrow:
remember that Skeletons have excellent aim.
Step 4. If you only have the sword, hide quickly and approach the Skeleton carefully
Method 4 of 7: Ghast
Step 1. When a Ghast throws a bomb, hit it with something
The bomb will be sent back (it won't damage the Ghast).
Step 2. Keep moving to avoid the bombs
Step 3. Bombs do damage in the space of a 3x3 block square
Step 4. Fully charge your bow to make sure you have power and accuracy
Two hits with a fully charged bow will kill the Ghast.
Method 5 of 7: Creeper
Step 1. Always carry bow and arrows with you
Step 2. If you see a Creeper, load the bow and shoot the arrow
If a Creeper appears out of nowhere and starts hissing immediately hit it with something. He will go back and you will have a chance to escape.
Try throwing snowballs at him; it will recoil and explode
Method 6 of 7: Endermen
Step 1. Don't try to attack the Endermen
Step 2. If you want to attack them bring good armor and a sword
The Endermen teleport near you.
Step 3. Load the bow and shoot the arrow
It won't hurt him, as he teleports before being hit, but it will prompt him to melee you.
Step 4. After he teleports attack him with your sword
Step 5. Most of the time he will avoid you thanks to teleportation
As it teleports all around you, keep swinging the sword. Watch out for the noise of the teleportation to know if you are in danger.
Step 6. If you are about to die, take shelter in a place that is only two blocks high between floor and ceiling
The Endermen are three blocks high and will not be able to enter.
Method 7 of 7: Dragon of the Ender
Step 1. Blow up the towers around you
Step 2. Hit the Dragon with a bow
Step 3. If he attacks you, grab a sword and hit him as hard as you can
Step 4. Deflect his fireballs
Hopefully you have damaged him enough and you will be able to kill him.
Advice
- If you die the items will disappear after 5 minutes.
- If you look at an Enderman with a pumpkin on his head he won't attack you.
- The Ghast cannot detonate cobblestone (stone).
- Spiders don't attack during the day unless you provoke them.
- Here is a quick way to kill a lot of monsters. Dig a 3x3 moat all around a cave, and build a cottage about 4x4 on flat ground, and make sure it has a door. Dig a hole two blocks deep around the house. Exit the house leaving the door open. Be seen by the monsters and quickly return to the house by closing the door. When the monsters try to jump the moat they will fall into it. To leave the house, cover the hole.
- The hunger bar restores health.
- If a Creeper doesn't explode and you kill it it will give you gunpowder.
- If you are attacked by a Blaze make sure there are no other enemies and run wild to avoid its fireballs. Build a tower 10 or 15 blocks high and shoot your arrows.
- In version 1.9, experience points can be used to enchant items.
- Enemies do not spawn in peaceful mode.
