This article shows you how to use an extension for the desktop version of an internet browser that allows you to download all the images on a web page at once. In order to carry out the procedure described in the article, you must use a computer, since it is not possible to install extensions and add-ons on the versions of internet browsers for mobile devices. Unfortunately, there is currently no such extension available for browsers: Microsoft Edge, Internet Explorer and Safari.
Steps
Method 1 of 2: Using Image Downloader on Google Chrome
Step 1. Launch Google Chrome
It features a red, yellow, and green circular icon with a blue sphere in the center.
Step 2. Go to the Image Downloader web page
The Chrome Web Store page dedicated to the program in question will be displayed.
Step 3. Press the + Add button
It is blue in color and located at the top right of the page.
Step 4. Press the Add Extension button when prompted
The Image Downloader extension will be installed on Chrome and the program settings page will automatically appear when finished.
Step 5. Press the Save button
It is green in color and located at the bottom of the page. In this way you will be sure that Image Downloader downloads each of the images present within the supported web pages.
Step 6. Go to the page containing the images you want to save locally
Type the website URL into the Chrome address bar or search for related keywords, then hit the Enter button.
Step 7. Select the Image Downloader icon
It features a white arrow on a blue background and is located at the top right of the Chrome window.
Step 8. Wait for the images to load
As soon as the Image Downloader drop-down menu appears, the program will start automatically scanning the current web page for all the images it contains. This step may take a minute or more to complete.
Step 9. Select the "Select all" check button
It is located below the "Width" and "Height" sliders.
Before selecting the "Select all" check button you can change the values of the sliders indicated in order to filter the images to be downloaded according to their size
Step 10. Press the Download button
It is blue in color and located at the top right of the Image Downloader extension drop-down menu.
Step 11. Press the Yes button
It is green in color and is located at the bottom of the menu. This way the selected images will be downloaded to your computer.
If you've enabled Chrome's "Ask where to save file before downloading" feature, you'll need to disable it before downloading images. Push the button ⋮ browser, choose the option Settings, click the link Advanced, locate the "Download" section and disable the blue "Ask where to save file before downloading" slider.
Method 2 of 2: Using DownThemAll on Firefox
Step 1. Launch Firefox
It features a blue globe icon surrounded by an orange fox.
Step 2. Log in to the DownThemAll web page
. The Firefox store page for the DownThemAll! Extension will be displayed.
Step 3. Press the + Add to Firefox button
It is green in color and is positioned in the center of the page.
Step 4. Press the Add button when prompted
It is located at the top left of the page.
Step 5. Press the OK button when prompted
It is located at the top left of the page. At this point the extension has been successfully installed within Firefox.
Step 6. Go to the page containing the images you want to save locally
Type the website URL into the Chrome address bar or search for related keywords, then hit the Enter button.
Step 7. Go to the Firefox Tools menu
It is located in the upper left of the browser window.
If you are using a Windows computer and the indicated menu is not visible press the alt="Image" key to make it appear
Step 8. Select the DownThemAll Tools item
It should be the last item on the menu Tools starting from the top. A small submenu will appear.
Step 9. Choose the DownThemAll option
It is listed at the top of the appeared submenu. A new window will appear.
Step 10. Select the Pictures and Media item
It is visible at the top of the appeared window.
Step 11. Select the images you want to save locally
Click the radio button on the left of the link for each image you want to download.
Unfortunately, in this case there was no "Select All" option that allows you to select all the detected images with a single click
Step 12. Press the Start button
It is located at the bottom of the window. This way all the chosen images will be automatically downloaded to your computer desktop.
