This article explains how to view the GPS coordinates of your current location or a specific location using the Google Maps app on an Android device.

Method 1 of 2: Find Your Own GPS Coordinates
Step 1. Make sure your Android device's GPS is turned on
By activating this tool you will significantly increase the accuracy of the coordinates of your position and thus you will be able to locate it on the map much more easily.
You can activate your device's GPS directly from the quick settings panel, which you can access by sliding your finger down the screen starting from the top and selecting the gear icon in the upper right corner
Step 2. Launch the Google Maps app on your Android device
The Google Maps icon features a small map and a red placeholder. You can find it in the "Applications" panel.
Step 3. Tap the crosshair icon
It is white in color and located at the bottom right of the screen. This way your current location will automatically be displayed on the map and indicated with a blue dot.
Step 4. Keep your finger pressed on the blue dot that indicates your current location
A red pin will be shown exactly at the point on the map that corresponds to your geographic location. The GPS coordinates of the selected point will be displayed in the search field located at the top of the screen.
Step 5. Take note of the GPS coordinates of your location
You can find them in the search bar located at the top of the map.
Method 2 of 2: Find the Coordinates of a Specific Location
Step 1. Launch the Google Maps app on your Android device
The Google Maps icon features a small map and a red placeholder. You can find it in the "Applications" panel.
Step 2. Find the place you are looking for on the map
You can use the "Zoom in" and "Zoom out" functions to reduce or enlarge the visible portion of the map by placing two fingers on the screen and moving them apart or together.
Step 3. Keep your finger pressed on the point on the map whose GPS coordinates you want to find out
A red pin will be placed at the chosen point and the corresponding coordinates will be displayed at the top of the screen.
Step 4. Note the GPS coordinates of the selected point
You can find them in the search bar located at the top of the screen.
