This article explains how to use any audio file inside a Samsung Galaxy as a new ringtone.
Steps
Step 1. Launch the Settings app
Access the notification bar by sliding your finger down from the top of the screen, then tap the "Settings" icon
Step 2. Select the Sounds and Vibration option
Step 3. Tap Ringtone
It is displayed approximately in the middle of the current screen.
Step 4. Select the Ringtone option
It is located in the "Incoming Call" section. A list of all available ringtones will be displayed.
Step 5. Scroll down the menu and select Add from device memory
A new screen will appear listing all the audio tracks on the device.

Step 6. Find the new ringtone you want to add
You can use the categories displayed at the top of the screen (e.g. Songs, Albums, Artists) or you can tap the magnifying glass icon to perform a search.
- To hear a preview of an audio track, tap the corresponding album cover image. If the latter is not present, tap the gray square icon with a musical note inside it.

To be able to hear a track from the beginning, turn off the "Highlights Only" slider
moving it to the left.
Step 7. Tap the radio button on the left of the ringtone you want to add
Inside the empty circle of the radio button in question, a small colored sphere will appear to indicate that it has been selected correctly.
Step 8. Press the Finish button
It is located in the upper right corner of the screen. The chosen song will be set as your device's new ringtone.
