3 Ways to Send Multimedia Content with Kik Messenger

Kik Messenger is an instant messaging app that allows you to communicate with friends and other users not just via text messages. It is in fact possible to share-g.webp

Steps

Method 1 of 3: Attach Pictures and Videos from Your Media Gallery

Step 1. Launch Kik and select the desired chat using the main application screen

When you start Kik you are automatically redirected to the main screen of the application where you can find the list of all recent conversations with your contacts.

At the moment it is not possible to use other file formats present on your device, however it is possible to attach to your messages an animated GIF, a viral YouTube video or a selected meme directly from the multimedia galleries integrated in Kik

Step 2. Tap the name of the desired contact to access their chat

Step 3. Tap the "+" icon located to the left of the text field

This will give you access to your device's media gallery, where only the most recent images and videos will be displayed. To scroll through the list of contents that appeared, you can use the index finger of the dominant hand.

Step 4. Touch the icon located at the top right of the device gallery box to expand the list of contents that appeared

If you do not find the desired content in the list containing recent images and videos, tap the "Expand" icon to access a larger view mode and be able to select a drop-down menu located on the right side of the screen and featuring a down arrow icon. Selecting the latter icon will display a list of folders stored in the device, containing content supported by Kik.

Step 5. Select the image or video you want to send to the person you are chatting with

The selected image (or chosen video) will be displayed at the bottom of the chat screen, waiting to be sent.

Step 6. If you wish, compose the message that will accompany the chosen photo or video

This is an optional step, but it can be helpful to add a short message that better describes the image or video you attached. To start composing the message text, tap the "Write a message …" field.

Step 7. To send the selected file, tap the blue balloon button

The chosen image or video (and the associated text message, if you have decided to add it) will be sent to the desired recipient with whom you are chatting.

Method 2 of 3: Attach Animated Kik Gifs

Step 1. Launch Kik and select the desired chat using the main application screen

Kik offers direct access to a large gallery of-g.webp

Step 2. Open the chat for the contact you want to send a-g.webp" />

To do this, simply tap on the name of the chosen person.

Step 3. Tap the "+" icon located to the left of the text field

This will give you access to the Kik toolbar and the media gallery of the device, which will be displayed at the bottom of the screen.

Step 4. Tap the "GIF" icon located on the appeared toolbar

The "Search GIF" text field will appear and a series of emojis similar to the ones you normally use within your messages.

Step 5. Search using the keyword related to the type of-g.webp" />

If you want to send an enthusiastic GIF, search using the keyword "enthusiastic" or select one of the emojis with a broad smile. A new set of GIFs will appear that match your search criteria.

For example, if you've selected a frog emoji (or performed a search with the keyword "frog"), you'll see a series of animated GIFs related to frogs in some way. At this point you can scroll through the list of images that appeared, as you would with the media gallery of the device, to locate and select the-g.webp" />

Step 6. Touch any-g.webp" />

After choosing the image of your interest, you will see it appear on the screen enlarged. You will notice that two buttons will also appear: one on the left side of the screen, to return to the list, and one on the right side in the shape of a blue balloon, to proceed with sending the selected content.

Use the "Back" button to return to the list of available GIFs

Step 7. Press the submit button (the blue bubble)

Step 8. Type a text message

If you wish, you can compose a short message that best describes the chosen GIF. To do this, use the text field "Write a message…".

Step 9. To send the selected GIF, press the balloon button on the right side of the screen

The chosen image (and the related text message, if you have decided to add it) will be sent to the desired recipient with whom you are chatting.

Method 3 of 3: Attach Viral Videos and Kik Memes

Step 1. Launch Kik and select the desired chat using the main application screen

The so-called "memes" are usually made up of images (often of famous celebrities, but not only), in which a short, very funny slogan has been inserted. Viral videos, on the other hand, are represented by funny, dramatic, crude or vulgar videos that have had a large number of views in a very short time. To send one of these contents to a Kik contact, select the recipient's name to access their chat.

Although this Kik feature is related to viral videos, you can use it to search for any video posted on YouTube relating to the topic of your interest

Step 2. Tap the "+" icon located to the left of the text field

This will give you access to the Kik toolbar and the device's media gallery, which will be displayed at the bottom of the screen.

Step 3. Tap the square icon consisting of 6 small dots

It's located on the left of the Kik toolbar (it should be the last icon).

Step 4. Select the "Viral Videos" icon to send one of the viral videos of the moment on the web to the recipient of the chat

You will be directed to the "Viral Videos" screen, from which you can perform a search using the "Search" field and the keywords related to the topic of your interest or simply scroll through the list of viral videos that are currently popular on the web.

When you have found the right video, based on your needs, select it to insert it in the chat

Step 5. If you wish to create a custom meme, choose the "Memes" option after selecting the square icon consisting of 6 small dots on the left of the Kik toolbar

A gallery of funny images will be displayed, which you can customize at will by entering the desired message (in this case the search function has not been implemented).

• Scroll through the list of images that appeared to locate and select the right image for your purposes. This will make it appear full screen.
• Tap the "Tap to add text" text field to be able to add a funny message, then press the "Done" button when you're done creating your meme.
• To insert the newly created meme into the chat, press the "⋮" or "…" button, then choose the "Share via Kik" option from the context menu that appeared.

Step 6. Type a text message

If you wish, you can compose a short message that better describes the attached video or meme. To do this, tap the "Write a message …" text field, then start composing your message.

Step 7. To submit the video or meme under review, press the balloon button on the right side of the screen

The selected content will be displayed within the chat.

Unlike animated GIFs, whose reproduction starts automatically, in the case of videos the recipient must select the relative link in order to activate the reproduction of the content
