Method 2 of 4: Temporary Deactivation
Step 1. Visit this page with a browser
Kik has a specific website that you can visit to deactivate your account, so you will need to use a browser and not the app.
Step 2. Enter the email associated with your Kik account
You will see a box that says "We are sorry to see you go!".
To change the email associated with your Kik account, you can go to settings and add another one
Step 3. Click on Go
A message will be sent to the email you entered.
Step 4. Open the message sent by Kik
The subject will indicate the temporary deactivation of your account.
Step 5. Click on Deactivate
Your account will be deactivated and a survey will open asking you the reason for your decision. The survey is optional, so you don't have to answer.
- You will no longer receive messages or emails from Kik.
- Your username will no longer appear in Kik searches.

Kik has a website dedicated to permanently deactivating accounts, so you will need to use a browser, not the app.
Step 2. Enter username and email
You will also be asked for what reason you want to leave Kik and you will have to answer before continuing.
Step 3. Check the box
By doing this, you admit that you "understand that you are deactivating the account permanently and will not be able to log in again to reactivate it".
Step 4. Click Go
A message will be sent to the email address you entered.
Step 5. Open the message from Kik
The subject will indicate the permanent deactivation of your account.

Step 1. Delete another person's account if they are in danger or passed away
