Boric acid pessaries are often used to treat and relieve symptoms associated with vaginal candidiasis. Boric acid pessaries in capsule form are inserted directly into the vagina and can help prevent recurrent vaginal candidiasis.
Steps
Step 1. Wash your hands and vaginal area using mild soap and water just before bed
Step 2. Lie on your back and bend your knees keeping your legs slightly apart
By lying down, you will prevent the boric acid pessaries from leaking out of the vagina after insertion.
Step 3. Use your fingers or an applicator to insert the boric acid pessaries deeply
Do not enter more than 600 mg of boric acid at a time, unless otherwise directed by your doctor
Step 4. Wait a few minutes for the eggs to dissolve and take effect before sitting or getting up, or go straight to sleep
It would be preferable to insert them in the evening, before falling asleep.
Step 5. Repeat the steps for two weeks or follow the directions given by your doctor
Advice
- Consult your doctor or gynecologist before using boric acid-based pessaries to treat vaginal candidiasis. No prescription is required to purchase boric acid, and alternate treatments may be more effective if based on your clinical experience.
- Recent studies show that boric acid eggs can actually reverse vaginal candidiasis up to 70% of cases. Consult with your gynecologist to determine if you need to continue feeding the boric acid pessaries if the symptoms do not go away after several weeks.
- Eat natural or organic yogurt that contains live lactic ferments and is free of preservatives or additives to supplement the boric acid egg treatment. Yogurt with live lactic ferments can help reduce and regulate the production of yeast in your body, favoring the regression of vaginal candidiasis.
Warnings
