Navel piercings are sexy and trendy, but the procedure is painful and expensive as well as permanent, of course. A fake piercing, on the other hand, gives you the ability to show off different styles and decide if this type of body modification is right for your needs. It is also a perfect alternative for teenagers who do not have parental consent to undergo a true navel puncture. It is not difficult to make a fake piercing that attracts people's gaze to your navel without being discovered. Choose a cute bead, a shimmery faux diamond and attach them to your navel! Nobody will notice the difference!
Steps
Method 1 of 3: Faux Bead Piercing
Step 1. Get a gold or silver bead
It can be plastic or metal, but it should be small enough to fit into the navel. You can also buy a beaded necklace, very cheap, in the "all for one euro" shops or on the stalls and cut the piece that interests you.
Optionally, you can use a wire cutter to cut the pin from an earring and only hold the pearl
Step 2. Get a small, adhesive, fake diamond
These are rhinestones that have a small adhesive film on the back that allows them to adhere to the skin. You can also use a real earring that you pinned off with wire cutters (if the back of the bead or diamond is flat).
The size of the rhinestone depends only on your personal preferences, but know that the piercing will be much more realistic if the fake diamond is smaller than the bead
Step 3. Attach the artificial diamond about 2.5cm above the navel
If you are using an adhesive rhinestone, you do not need to add glue. If you have recycled a piece of earring instead, you will need to use cosmetic putty, nail glue, eyelash glue or theatrical glue to attach it to the skin.
Step 4. Glue the bead into the navel
Since the back of the bead is not visible, you can be a little creative. For example, try to glue it to the top of the navel, so that it looks like it is connected to the rhinestone you applied earlier.
Step 5. Wait for the glue to dry
Do not bump or move the pieces of your "piercing" for a few minutes while the adhesive dries; in the meantime you could lie on your back.
Method 2 of 3: Fake Pendant Piercing
Step 1. Get an earring with a rather light pendant
A small ring or not too heavy chain is perfect. You can even make the jewelry with simple materials, such as straight pins and beads, and commonly used tools, such as pliers and wire cutters.
Step 2. Remove the stud from the earring using a metal cutter
If there is a hook, you can always remove it with the wire cutters or open the locking ring with fine-tipped pliers, so you can detach it from the rest of the jewel.
Step 3. Make your own custom beaded jewelry by sticking a pin into them
Take a sewing pin with a ball head and insert it into different colored beads according to your style.
- Arrange the beads on the pin as you like. Remember that the head will be on the bottom of the jewelry, so the other beads must be small enough not to slide down. The row of beads will dangle from the navel, so don't make it too long.
- Using fine-tipped pliers, bend the rest of the pin to create a 90 ° angle. Trim off the pointed end to leave only 1 cm of bare metal.
- Fold the rest of the metal to make a small ring; always use fine-tipped pliers for this operation. The ring will be the top of the jewelry.
Step 4. Attach the jewelry to the top of the navel
The best adhesive to use in these cases is cosmetic putty, nail glue, false eyelash glue, or theatrical glue. If you think it is useful, put a drop of adhesive on both the jewelry and the skin and then join them.
Step 5. Add an adhesive rhinestone on top of the jewel
To give your creation a realistic look, add the fake diamond 2.5 cm above the navel. If you don't have adhesive rhinestone, you can use the wire cutters to remove the pin from an old earring (with a flat back base) and glue the bead to the skin.
Although the size of the rhinestone depends entirely on your personal taste, you should still get one that is as big as the head of the pin or slightly smaller. This way the piercing will be more realistic
Step 6. Wait for the glue to dry
Do not touch or tease the "piercing" for a few minutes. You should lie on your back while the adhesive sets.
Method 3 of 3: Customize the Navel Jewel
Step 1. Make a custom fake piercing jewelry, just like you would make earrings
There are many ways to make bead jewelry unique or create navel pendants.
Step 2. Color the bead with nail polish or cover it with glitter
Smear a thin layer of white nail polish or glue on it and then roll it in the glitter. Wait until it is completely dry before applying it to your body.
Step 3. Make a pendant jewelry with different materials
Instead of sticking the beads with a straight pin, you can cover the pin with other materials.
You can decorate a very small Styrofoam ball with paint, nail polish or glitter. Alternatively, roll a small piece of aluminum foil to make a bead and then color it the same way. You can also use the pin to stick a furry ball
Step 4. Follow the instructions in this article to create other types of earring
But stop before adding a pin or hook and attach the jewelry to the navel as described above.
Advice
- In some stores you can find magnetic rings or rings with clip closure to apply to the navel. They will certainly have a great grip, but you won't have many models to choose from.
- If you have a protruding navel, it will be difficult to get a realistic result. Just use clear glue and place the rhinestone precisely.
Warnings
- Don't use super glue; it has excessive adhesive power and you may tear the skin in an attempt to detach the piercing. Sensitive skin could also have a bad allergic reaction.
- If you feel pain when you try to remove the jewelry because the glue has a strong adherence, apply some lotion.
