Steps
Method 1 of 3: Watermelon Juice
Step 1. Put the watermelon on the cutting board
Remove the pulp with a knife and coarsely cut it into pieces that are not too large.
Step 2. Put them in a bowl, help yourself with a fork
Step 3. Take the blender and fill it with the watermelon pieces
Add sugar, or honey, keep in mind that when the watermelon is fully ripe it is already sweet and sugary.
- Blend and check the consistency of the juice.
-
Add some water if you like, you will get a more liquid juice, alternatively add some ice to get a 'frozen' version.
Step 4. Blend until you get your favorite consistency
Pour the juice into a tall glass, add ice if you want. (Strain it through a colander as you pour it if you want to get a clear, liquid juice.)
Method 2 of 3: Watermelon and lemon juice
Step 1. Cut the watermelon and remove the peel
Make pieces that aren't too big.
Step 2. Blend them with the mint and lemon juice, continue until the mixture is smooth and homogeneous
Step 3. Pour the juice into a pot and filter it with a strainer
Squeeze the pulp left in the colander well to extract as much juice as possible. Add sugar to the juice and mix with a spoon.
Step 4. Turn on the heat under the pot, use medium-low heat
Check that the juice does not come to a boil, it should only simmer and never boil.
Step 5. Let it simmer
Taste it frequently to be able to understand when it will have acquired the ideal flavor, once reached, turn off and remove the pot from the heat, let it cool.
Step 6. Pour the juice into a container and put it in the refrigerator
Serve it in a tall glass with ice, if you want to decorate it with a few mint leaves.
Method 3 of 3: Watermelon and Pomegranate Juice
Step 1. Cut the watermelon and remove the peel
Make pieces that aren't too big. Take the pomegranate and extract the pulp, keep some for the final decoration.
Step 2. Put the watermelon pulp in the blender
Add the pomegranate seeds and raspberries. Blend until all the ingredients are well mixed together.
Step 3. Pour the juice into a tall glass, add some ice
Decorate with a few grains of pomegranate pulp or with some raspberries.
Advice
- Choose a ripe watermelon if you want to drink its juice. If you love very sweet drinks, choose a variety of sugary watermelons, such as 'baby'.
- If your watermelon has seeds cut it into four parts and then try to remove the top of the pulp from each slice with the help of a knife. That is the part where most of the seeds are contained. If there is still any left, take it out patiently with a fork.
- The flavor of mint goes beautifully with that of watermelon, add a few leaves while you blend and you will get an amazing juice.
