Steps
Method 1 of 3: Watermelon with vodka
Pouring the vodka into a watermelon letting the fruit soak overnight will create a delicious adult dessert to enjoy at a summer party.
Step 1. Remove the cap from a bottle of vodka
Place the cork on top of the watermelon on a counter. With a folding knife or a pelucchino, cut out the shape of the cap from the skin of the watermelon.
Step 2. Remove the cap and dig one out of the peel using the circle you just carved
Eventually, you will slip the bottle into the cutout photo. Be sure to chill the cut-out cork in a plastic bag and keep the bottle cap to close it later.
Step 3. Scoop some pulp from the watermelon with a spoon until you make a hole deep enough for the neck of the bottle to fit
Step 4. Hold the watermelon straight with the length perpendicular to the sink or countertop
Step 5. Insert the vodka bottle into the hole you just dug
It will stand at 90 ° to the sink or counter.
Step 6. Rotate the watermelon until it returns to its previous position on the counter
the bottle should be perpendicular to the length of the watermelon. Leave the bottle in the watermelon for at least 12 hours.
Step 7. Remove it carefully
The fruit will have absorbed half to all of the contents of the bottle. If any remains, wipe the neck of the bottle of watermelon residue and put the vodka away or throw it away.
Step 8. Re-insert the watermelon cork if you don't cut it right away
Step 9. Cut the watermelon into slices and serve
You can either cut it into wedges or peel it and make it into cubes. The vodka infusion will be powerful so eat slowly.
Method 2 of 3: Watermelon vodka
Cut a fresh watermelon and soak it in vodka for about 6 days for a mild taste.
Step 1. Cut a watermelon in two halves
Allocate one for another use.
Step 2. Cut the half in two quarters
Step 3. Slice between the red and white parts to separate the skin from the pulp
Repeat with the other quarter.
Step 4. Cut the watermelon into 2.5 cm pieces
You will not have to remove the seeds, as they will be drained later. If you use a seedless watermelon, you don't even have to worry about it.
Step 5. Place the watermelon pieces in a glass jar with an airtight lid
Step 6. Pour a bottle (750ml) of vodka over the watermelon pieces
Step 7. Seal the container and place it in a cool, dark place for at least 6 days
Step 8. After this time, take it and open the lid
The brew should be pink.
Step 9. Place a piece of cheesecloth or cheesecloth over the mouth of the jar
It will serve as a colander.
Step 10. Pour the vodka into sterilized bottles or jars through the cheesecloth to separate the liquid from the pieces and seeds
Throw the watermelon in the stew or put it in plastic bags and put it in the fridge to eat later.
Step 11. Cap the bottles or jars and refrigerate them until you need them
Method 3 of 3: Watermelon and vodka candies
To make watermelon flavored candy vodka, use watermelon candy instead of fruit. The final product will have a more watermelon-infused color, more coral than pink.
Step 1. Place the candies in a small bottle or jar
If they go through the neck of the vodka bottle, so much the better: throw them straight in. Otherwise, break them in half or into smaller pieces.
Step 2. Pour the vodka over the candies and seal the container
Step 3. Keep the candies in the vodka for 8-12 hours
They will melt.
