This article shows you how to access your Gmail mailbox using a computer or mobile device. If you need to consult the e-mails of multiple accounts at the same time, you can add them all within the internet browser or mobile device in use, after configuring the main one. Remember that in order to access Gmail it is essential to have a Google account.
Steps
Method 1 of 5: Desktop Platforms
Step 1. Launch the internet browser of your choice
If you need to access Gmail from a computer, you can use any internet browser (for example Firefox, Safari, Chrome, etc.).
If you need to use a specific Gmail function linked to Google services, for example to consult your mail even offline, you will need to use Google Chrome to access Gmail
Step 2. Log in to Gmail
Type the following URL into the browser address bar. This will bring up the Gmail login page.
Step 3. Enter your account email address
Type your Gmail email address in the "Email address or phone number" text field in the center of the page.
Step 4. Press the Next button
It is blue and is located below the "Email address or phone number" text field. You will be redirected to the page where you can enter the login password.
Step 5. Enter your account security password
Type in the "Password" text field.
Step 6. Press the Next button
It is located below the "Password" text field. If the username and password you provided are correct, you will be redirected to your Gmail inbox.
Method 2 of 5: iPhone
Step 1. Access the iPhone App Store by tapping the icon
It features a white "A" on a light blue background.
Step 2. Go to the Search tab
It is located at the bottom of the screen. This will display the page with which you can search for content within the App Store.
Step 3. Search for the Gmail app
Tap the search bar at the top of the screen, then type in the keyword gmail and press the button Search for keyboard.
Step 4. Press the Get button
It is located on the right of the words "Gmail - Email by Google".
Step 5. When prompted, verify your identity using the Touch ID feature
This will install the Gmail app on the iPhone.
If your iPhone does not have Touch ID or you have not configured its functionality, you will need to press the button to use the App Store Install located at the bottom of the screen and provide your Apple ID password when prompted.
Step 6. Start Gmail
Push the button You open of the App Store or tap the red and white icon of the Gmail app located within one of the pages that make up the Home of the device.
Step 7. Press the Login button
It is located at the bottom of the screen.
Step 8. Log in to Gmail
If you have not configured any Google account on the iPhone, select the item Google when asked to select your account type, then follow these instructions:
- Enter your Gmail email address;
- Push the button Come on;
- Enter the security password;
- Press the button again Come on.
- If your Gmail account is listed among the profiles stored on the iPhone, you can skip the login procedure by tapping the relevant white cursor on the right of the name.
Step 9. Wait for the Gmail app UI to appear on the screen
After completing the login process, all messages in the inbox of your Gmail account should appear on the screen.
Method 3 of 5: Android devices
Step 1. Make sure the Gmail app is installed on your device
Access the Android "Applications" panel by tapping the icon
placed on the Home screen (in some cases you will have to slide your finger across the screen from right to left), then tap the red and white icon of the Gmail app.
- In theory, all Android devices come with the Gmail app pre-installed, so you should easily find it within the "Applications" panel.

If for any reason the Gmail application is not present on your device, you can download it directly from the Play Store: tap the relative icon

Step 2. Launch the Gmail app by tapping its icon
It features a red "M" on a white background.
Step 3. Press the Go to Gmail button
It is located at the bottom of the screen.
If your device is not currently connected to the Google account you usually use, you will need to select the option Add an email address, choose the option Google from the menu that will appear and enter the login credentials of the new account.
Step 4. Retype the security password if prompted
In this case, enter the Gmail login password in the text field that appears and press the button Come on to continue.
Since you have already had to set up a Google account in order to use your Android device, you will not normally need to re-enter the relevant security password
Step 5. Wait for the Gmail app UI to appear on the screen
After completing the login process, all messages in the inbox of your Gmail account should appear on the screen.
Method 4 of 5: Use Multiple Accounts on the Computer
Step 1. Log in to Gmail
Use the internet browser of your choice and the following URL. If you are already signed in to your Google account, you will be automatically redirected to your Gmail inbox.
If you are not logged in, you will need to provide your account email address and its security password
Step 2. Click your profile icon
It has a circular shape and is placed in the upper right corner of the page. A small drop-down menu will appear.
If you have not set an image for your Google profile, the icon in question will appear colored with the initial of your name in the center
Step 3. Press the Add Account button
It is located in the lower left corner of the menu that appeared. A new page will appear listing all the Google Accounts associated with your browser.
Step 4. Choose the Use another account option
It is the last item in the list that appeared from the top.
If you want to use one of the accounts already stored, but to which you are no longer connected, select it from the list and enter the relative access password when prompted
Step 5. Enter the email address of the new profile
When prompted, provide the email address of the new Gmail account you wish to add.
Step 6. Press the Next button
It is blue and is located below the "Email address or phone number" text field.
Step 7. Enter your account security password
Type in the "Password" text field.
Step 8. Press the Next button
It is located below the "Password" text field. This will add the new account to the list and you will be automatically redirected to its Gmail inbox.
Step 9. Switch between profiles
When you need to use another user account, click the icon of the current profile in use in the upper right corner of the page, then select the account you want to use from the drop-down menu that will appear.
Method 5 of 5: Use Multiple Accounts on Mobile Devices
Step 1. Launch the Gmail app by tapping its icon
It features a red "M" on a white background. If you are already signed in to your Google account, you will be automatically redirected to your Gmail inbox.
If you are not logged in, you will need to provide your account email address and its security password
Step 2. Press the ☰ button
It is located in the upper left corner of the screen. The main menu of the application will be displayed.
Step 3. Select the email address of the current account in use
It is displayed at the top of the appeared menu. A new menu will appear.
Step 4. Choose the Account Management option
It is one of the items in the menu that appeared. A new menu will appear.
Step 5. Tap Add Account
It is placed in the newly appeared menu.
Step 6. Choose the Google option
It is displayed at the top of the screen.
You may be asked to authorize access to Google from the device. In this case, press the button Continues or Allow.
Step 7. Enter the email address of the new account
Type your Gmail email address in the "Email address or phone number" text field in the center of the page.
Step 8. Press the Next button
It is located below the text field where you entered the email address.
Step 9. Enter the login password
Type in the security password of the Gmail account you want to add.
Step 10. Press the Next button
It is located at the bottom of the page. This will add the new account to the list and you will be automatically redirected to its inbox.
Step 11. Switch between profiles
When you need to use another user account, press the button ☰, then select the user profile picture you want to use at the top of the menu that appears.
