Follow these steps to sing your best before an audition or concert. There are VIPs who do not speak for days and days to prepare the voice in view of a concert. You can too, sure, but you can also try these simple tips. We hope they will prove useful!
Steps
Step 1. Drink lots of water
Maintain a good level of hydration and try to never feel thirsty.
Step 2. Try honey
A simple teaspoon of honey creates a coating in the throat that makes the voice more harmonious.
Step 3. Drink tea, herbal tea, cider, or plain hot water with a teaspoon or two of honey
Step 4. Try throat candy
Those with mint refresh the throat and help the voice, but unfortunately menthol slightly stuns the vocal cords. Look for throat candies with a less aggressive taste, such as fruit candies. Many professional singers also recommend the Ricola.
Step 5. Don't exercise too much before the performance
In fact, you could risk drying your throat.
Step 6. Do not drink milk the day before and the day of the performance
Also, don't eat foods that are too sugary, as they spoil your throat.
Step 7. Massage your neck back and forth in downward motions
Step 8. Keep your throat clean
Make sure there are no traces of phlegm on the vocal cords, as it can interfere with vocalizations. Clean your throat with water. Try not to clear your throat by coughing. Coughing can cause serious damage to the vocal cords.
