Do you want to express your emotions through dance, but your body doesn't help you ?! Would you like to dance to make a good impression? With enough confidence and patience, you can do anything!
Steps
Step 1. Love dance
If you want to dance, you have to love it. You have to put your heart into it. Maybe you want to dance to make a good impression. Either way, to do this, you need to ignore how others see you and focus solely on yourself. You have to put all the passion you have into it. If you do not put passion into dance, it is very likely that you will abandon it when you cannot take certain steps, because you will be under pressure. If, on the other hand, you have a strong desire, you will try to learn a step until you can do it.
Step 2. Research famous dancers
There are many legendary dancers who encourage amateurs. It's good to take them as an example and learn the same way they learned to dance. Of course, you shouldn't try to imitate the steps that professional dancers can take. It is very difficult. But you can do it this way: choose one of your favorite dancers and, every time you dance, think about him / her and imagine that you are him / her. Let me be your invisible teacher!
Step 3. Learn the steps
You can choose to take lessons or learn on your own. Many watch the videos and try to copy the steps, but most of the time it is difficult. You need someone who looks at the steps you have learned on your own, who observes you and who can point out your mistakes.
Step 4. Learn some history
Dancing is a way to express your emotions. It is artistic, beautiful and often indescribable. There are different types of dance. For example, there is breakdance, popping, tutting, locking, etc. These types of dance generally belong to the hip-hop category.
Step 5. Dance with your friends
Dancing alone can be boring. And you can also take the opportunity to learn steps from other people. Look for a dance school, a gym near your home or even on the street! Go out with your friends, bring some speakers and jam! Even if you don't feel like doing it in front of others, there is always a sense of satisfaction after working hard. Ignore others, practice and freestyle with your friends. Who knows, maybe in the future you will become the best group of dancers in the world.
Step 6. Don't be discouraged
Sometimes your friends tell you you can't dance. Ignore them. Even if you think you can't dance, stand in front of the mirror and look at yourself. Why not? Why do you think you can't dance? Never be discouraged. Tell yourself you can do it! Either you are too afraid to show others what you can do or you are too lazy to practice! "Of course I can! I'll learn the steps and show who I am." Exactly!
Step 7. Specifically…
If you want to do breakdance, also called 'b-boying', you must first know what kind of dance it is. It requires a lot of strength and also a creative style. To do this, you need to be fully involved. It may seem to you that the steps to learn are difficult, that you will not be able to continue, but you must have faith in yourself. There are thousands of different steps to breakdance, because you can learn any step and transform it into your style.
Step 8. There is also … popping, which is another of the common dance styles along with b-boying, requires some natural skills, because as you age your body becomes less flexible and increasingly rigid
For this reason you should start practicing when you are young or have natural skills. If you don't have these skills and if you didn't know popping when you were little, it will take a lot of practice, because popping literally means making your body jump to the beat. You could make a good impression with the music or you could make the audience run away.
Step 9. Keep practicing
Practice every day. It doesn't have to be hard practice. For example, if you have practiced the handstand, before dinner, while you wait, practice step by step. When you have some free time, exercise. Throughout the house. As you walk, take steps, keep taking them, because if you take them often they will become natural.
Step 10. Perform
Do auditions! Work hard and leave a good memory. Show everything you have learned. You can do it alone or with your friends. Put all the steps you learned into a song and dance! Listen to the audience's reactions, their advice, and do better next time! Dancing on stage is going to help you a LOT. Be proud of your work, but don't stop, keep working until you reach your goal!
Advice
- If you have some free time, set up a dance routine with a friend and practice it at home. You can take the steps you would like to use for performances and gradually add new things.
- Believe in yourself. If you perform on stage and are nervous, pretend you are in a room alone while dancing to the beat of the music.
- If your parents are old enough to think that dancing is nonsense, try to convince them first, if it doesn't work, don't practice at home, but somewhere else.
- Some very good break dance groups I know are 'Iconic Boyz' 'Last For One,' 'Gamblerz,' 'Poppin Hyun Joon,' 'Jabowockees,' and 'Phase T.' They are good dancers you can identify with.
Warnings
- If you're not going to be a professional dancer, don't waste too much time dancing. Sometimes it can be a big distraction.
- If you want to show your steps to other guys, do it right. Don't be embarrassed. You have to be able to show what you can do, otherwise everyone will think that you are just one of many aspiring dancers.
- Don't get hurt while practicing or dancing on stage! Some steps can be dangerous, so seek help if you are desperate to learn them.
- If you have stage anxiety, practice and do your best.
