This article shows you how to search for new contacts using the Kik Messenger app.
Steps
Step 1. Launch the Kik app
It is characterized by a white icon inside which the word "Kik" appears in green.
Provide your login credentials if you are not logged in yet
Step 2. Tap the ➕ icon
It is located at the top of the screen.
Step 3. Choose the Find Users option
It features a stylized human silhouette icon and a "+" symbol.
Step 4. Tap Find with Username
Use this feature if you know the Kik username of the person you are looking for.
- Type your username into the text field at the top of the screen.
- Select the name of the person you are looking for when it appears in the results list below the search bar.
- Push the button Start chatting to be able to send a message to the selected person.
Step 5. Choose the Find with Phone Contacts option
Use this function if you want to find out who among the contacts you have stored in the device address book has a Kik account or if you want to invite one of them to install the application and register.
- Scroll through the device address book to locate the contact you want to invite to the world of Kik.
- Push the button Invite placed next to the contact name to send them an SMS and invite them to chat with you via Kik.
