Many people dream of having beautiful skin, but often they do not have the basic knowledge to cure the most common blemishes, such as acne or dark spots, and they wonder how to find out more. Some harsh chemicals can irritate your skin or you may not want to spend the money looking for the latest face cream on the market. Here are some tips for finding home remedies that can help you have more beautiful, blemish-free skin.
Steps
Method 1 of 2: Eliminate Acne
Step 1. Apply tea tree oil
Also called tea tree oil, it is often included in anti-dandruff shampoos, but it is also considered an excellent product for getting rid of acne. Although it is an oil, it has been found to have disinfectant properties for pores, dry white and blackheads and soothe irritations.
- Use 100% pure essential oil. Be careful when buying it that it is not diluted or that there are no other chemicals and chemicals added.
- Apply the oil with a cotton ball directly on the pimple. If after 24 hours you don't experience any irritation, continue with this method. If, on the other hand, your skin has a reaction, dilute the tea tree oil with one part of seed oil and one part of water. If you have very sensitive skin, dilute it even more. You can also try mixing a few drops of tea tree oil with two teaspoons of aloe vera gel, if you notice that the pure oil is irritating to you.
- You can also add a drop or two of this oil to the cleansing product you normally use to wash your face or dilute it with water and use it as a tonic.
- Tea tree oil can cause redness, itching and blistering if the skin is sensitive or if used in large doses. Make sure you dilute it if you need to apply it to large areas. Try 5-15 drops of oil mixed with 40-50ml of jojoba oil.
- Make sure you don't swallow it. It should only be used as a topical treatment. Ingesting it could cause serious side effects, such as nausea, skin rash, confusion, or even coma.
- An alternative to tea tree oil is lavender.
Step 2. Try apple cider vinegar as part of your acne treatment
It is a vinegar with antibacterial and antifungal properties. It can help kill acne-causing bacteria by opening pores and clearing black and whiteheads, as well as reducing the inflammation associated with this skin problem. It also eliminates excess sebum and balances the pH of the skin.
- To use apple cider vinegar, dilute 1 part vinegar in 10 parts water. Use a cotton ball and swab the infected area. Leave it on for 20 minutes and then rinse. Repeat the process 2 times a day.
- If you don't experience any irritation within a few days or weeks, you can reduce the amount of water you use to dilute the solution. If, on the other hand, you notice that the skin tends to become irritated, increase it.
- Some people have adverse reactions to acidic substances such as apple cider vinegar. Before applying it to your face, do a small test in one place on the skin. If you don't see any irritation after 15 minutes, you probably don't have a negative reaction to the vinegar.
Step 3. Make a face mask with cinnamon and honey
Cinnamon has antimicrobial properties and honey is a natural antibiotic. Together, these two elements can help fight acne.
- Mix 2 tablespoons of honey and 1 tablespoon of cinnamon until you get a smooth paste.
- After washing your face with water, apply the mask. Leave it on for 10-15 minutes and then rinse it off.
Step 4. Rub the acne affected areas with lemon juice
This citrus is rich in vitamin C, an antioxidant that has been shown to soothe the skin, as well as being a natural astringent. Promotes the drying of pimples and reduces redness. Soak a cotton ball with fresh lemon juice and dab it on the boil or infected area.
- Use only fresh lemon juice, not bottled, as the latter contains preservatives and other chemicals.
- To dry out your pimples more, dissolve 1/2 teaspoon of salt in 2 teaspoons of lemon juice.
Step 5. Make a mask with egg white
Egg white contains proteins and vitamins that appear to be able to reduce acne and rebuild skin cells. It is also believed that it can absorb excess sebum.
Separate the egg whites from the yolks of 2-3 eggs. Beat them in a bowl until frothy, then let them sit for a minute. Apply 3 or 4 layers to the skin. Let each layer dry before adding the next. Keep the egg whites on your face for about 20 minutes before rinsing off with warm water
Step 6. Wash the pillowcase
Over time, bacteria can build up on the pillowcase. The face stays 6-8 hours every night on the pillowcase and bacteria. If you tend to have fairly oily skin or hair, change it twice a week. Even if your skin is not oily, change it once a week anyway
Method 2 of 2: Improving the Appearance of the Face
Step 1. Make a yogurt mask
Studies have found that dairy products reduce irritation and redness of the skin and the fatty substance of yogurt acts as a moisturizer. In addition, the lactic acid content has whitening properties that can help give more light to the complexion.
Mix 1 tablespoon of milk with 1 tablespoon of honey until the mixture takes on a uniform consistency. Apply the mixture to your face with a cotton ball or your fingers, letting each layer dry before adding a new one. Leave it on your skin for 10-15 minutes before rinsing it off. This treatment performed every day can also help increase skin tone and make it look better
Step 2. Use champagne
It is a wine containing tartaric acid from grapes and appears to be able to eliminate acne and close pores. It also has anti-aging and antioxidant properties that can even out the skin tone and make sagging areas elastic. Apply a cotton ball soaked in a little champagne on the pimple or clean your entire face if you want to do a general treatment.
Step 3. Try baking soda
It has been shown to balance the skin's pH levels, eliminate excess sebum and exfoliate the skin, all of which can give the skin a brighter, clearer and more even tone. Baking soda also has antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties that can help reduce acne.
Mix 1-2 tablespoons of baking soda with water to make a light dough. Apply it to your face and let it sit for 10-15 minutes. Finally wash with warm water. Repeat the treatment 2-3 times a week
Step 4. Get plenty of vitamin C
The antioxidants contained in this element have been associated with reduced skin dehydration. It also appears that taking a lot of ascorbic acid reduces the wrinkle formation process in women. Vitamin C helps stimulate collagen production, which in turn minimizes wrinkle formation by promoting skin elasticity.
You can take vitamin C as a daily supplement or you can apply it topically on the face. A diet high in ascorbic acid helps to make the skin look healthier. Drink a glass of 100% pure orange juice or eat foods rich in vitamin C, such as oranges, melons, broccoli, tomatoes or red and green peppers
Step 5. Follow a diet that helps keep skin healthy
Food is an important factor for the health and appearance of the skin. Include the following foods in your daily diet:
- Berries: Strawberries, blueberries, cherries are all indicated to help the skin stay healthy. They are rich in vitamin C, an antioxidant that helps keep the skin smooth and firm.
- Tomatoes: they are considered among the best products for skin care. Rich in vitamin C, they help fight acne and protect the skin from sunburn, giving radiance and hydration to the skin.
- Apple peels: Apples not only help fight heart disease, they also contain important antioxidants. Eating the peel can also protect you from harmful UV rays.
- Nuts: Almonds contain vitamin E, an important antioxidant for skin health. They also help moisturize the skin. Walnuts contain omega-3 fatty acids which are important for keeping the skin soft and hydrated.
- Green Leafy Vegetables: These foods are rich in vitamin C and beta-carotene (which helps the skin fight sun damage) and also hydrate. Eat kale, spinach, kale, rocket, Swiss chard, and turnip greens.
Step 6. Drink green tea
It is packed with antioxidants that not only help the skin but promote overall health. Green tea has antibacterial properties that can reduce acne, lightening the skin. It is also believed to have anti-inflammatory properties, neutralize UV rays, rejuvenate skin cells and even help fight cancer.
You can drink 2-3 cups of green tea every day or use it in topical treatments and masks
Step 7. Drink water
The skin is an organ that contains a large amount of water and without proper hydration it can dry out, become delicate and tight. Drink at least 8 glasses of water a day to rid your body and skin of harmful toxins. Although there is no evidence that water makes the skin more radiant, it is nonetheless certain that good hydration gives it a healthier and less dry appearance.
Filter the water in the shower and sink, if you can. Some experts claim that softer and purer water makes the skin more beautiful and brighter. Many spas have started using filtered water in their treatments. Heavy metals in hard water can irritate the skin and make it red
Step 8. Don't get bad habits
If you are too stressed and do not sleep enough, you can affect and worsen the health of your skin. Coffee, alcohol and cigarettes also affect the appearance of your complexion.
