Does your hair look like a haystack? Are they ruined and electric beyond hope? If the answer is yes, it's time to restore them to their natural health. Go straight to step 1 to learn how to do this.
Steps
Step 1. Cut it out
It might be hard to say goodbye to them, but with split ends you're not going anywhere. The longer you keep the hair, the more the tips go up the shaft, damaging it. The first time you cut them, remove all the split ends and then trim your hair every 6-8 weeks or so.
Step 2. Eat healthily
Hair reflects your health and what you bring into your body. If you eat junk and drink fizzy drinks then your hair will not be very healthy. Eating a balanced diet and drinking plenty of water, as well as taking vitamins, will improve the condition of your hair and your body in general.
Step 3. Don't wash them every day
Unless your hair is really greasy or you've had a lot of physical activity, don't wash it daily. This would remove the natural oils from the hair, making it dry and prone to breaking. Try to wash them every other day and use conditioner.
Step 4. Throw the plate
It is perhaps the hardest thing to do, but it will be the best choice for your hair. Use a hairdryer, curler, straightener, hot curlers, etc. irreparably damages the hair. If you are looking to get your hair back to a decent state, avoid any hot tools or alternatively, use a heat protector. While your hair will eventually get ruined and broken anyway, it won't be as bad as it is unprotected.
Step 5. No more tints
Coloring and bleaching hair are the main stressors. Try a semi permanent color or ammonia-free bleach.
Step 6. Pay attention to tools and products
Even everyday ones can make your hair break. Brushing or tying them while they are wet ruins them not only on the tips but also near the scalp. Excessive use of vitamin products can cause the stem to dry out and crack. Protein is great for hair, but too much is bad for you.
Step 7. Rehydrate your hair until it is healthy again
Use intensive conditioners, masks and oils that bring back the right body to your hair.
Advice
- When choosing restructuring products or products with a high vitamin concentration, do not use them daily. Protein can weaken and break hair.
- Use mask, treatments, and conditioner to rehydrate.
- Eat healthy foods, don't smoke, and don't wash your head too much.
- Get lots of vitamins. Biotin helps skin and hair health.
- To avoid split ends, it is better to take special precautions, such as collecting your hair when it is too hot or too windy.
