Go to your local nursery or garden center and ask employees what types of flowers attract butterflies. Ask him anything you feel unsure of about planting and growing flowers. Ask specifically for a "butterfly tree" (Buddleia officinalis) or a milkweed. These plants can grow to a meter and a half or more tall and produce beautiful purple flowers that the butterflies will not be able to resist
Step 2. Grow brightly colored plants
They attract butterflies, in the same way that nectar-rich flowers attract them. Red, yellow, orange or pink flowers are the most common for attracting butterflies.
Step 3. Grow native plants
When butterflies lay eggs on non-native plants, their offspring often have trouble surviving. Search for native plants in your area, you will easily find this information on the internet.
Step 4. Find the specific butterfly you would like to attract
There will likely be many types in your area; find out which ones live near you and what they like.
Step 5. Look at the neighbors' gardens
Find out what they have that works better than yours from the point of view of attracting butterflies and imitating them.
Step 6. Look for ways to feed the butterflies
There are many types of gimmicks for feeding butterflies, and each one is successful or not, depending on the region. Experiment!
