Do you have a face that is not perfectly clean? It's not hard to keep it clean, and if you do, your skin will always look fresh and happy!
Steps
Part 1 of 2: Keep Your Face Clean Every Day
Step 1. Determine what your skin type is
Do you have dry, oily or normal skin? You have to understand this in order to use the right products. There are so many different types that it is confusing.
- If you have normal skin, it will have the right balance of hydration, lipids, and strength. You have to aim for this by keeping it clean.
- If you have oily skin, it will appear shiny or oily a few hours after you wash your face.
- If you have dry skin it will often be flaky.
- If you have sensitive skin, you will often feel itchy and itchy and have allergic reactions to certain chemicals.
- Many people have combination skin, so one part of the face is oily and another part may be dry.
Step 2. Use a simple facial cleanser twice a day
Wash in the morning and evening. Each face has different needs. You may need to test various cleaners before you find the one that works best for you. You need to look for a cleanser that removes dirt, germs, and excess oil but doesn't dry out the skin.
- The choice of cleanser is determined by your skin type, how often you wear makeup, and how often you play sports or train. For example, if you have oily skin you need a cleanser with a low pH, which is more effective against grease. If you have sensitive skin, you shouldn't use detergents with a lot of chemicals.
- Avoid regular soaps, which are too harsh on the face and dry out the skin.
- Better to rinse your face with warm or cold water. Hot water removes the lipids you need.
- After a workout, wash your face to remove sweat, dirt and oil that can clog pores.
Step 3. Dry your face with a clean towel
Do not rub the skin, but pat gently. The skin on the face is delicate. Make sure the towel is clean or you may transfer bacteria to your clean face.
Step 4. Use a toner
While not strictly necessary, the toner can be very useful for those with oily skin, acne, or clogged pores. The toner removes excess sebum and dead cells, and is a great way to give the skin active ingredients such as retinoids, antioxidants and exfoliants.
- After cleansing your skin, apply the toner with a clean cotton pad. Apply it on the forehead, nose and chin (the so-called T-zone). Move the disc in light circles, avoiding the area around the eyes.
- Find the right toner for your skin type. Some tonics help exfoliate acne-prone skin, while others have anti-inflammatory properties that help sensitive skin.
- Many dermatologists recommend avoiding alcohol-based tonics, as they dry out even oily skin too much.
Step 5. Gently treat the skin around the eyes
Don't rub your eyes, don't use harsh products to remove make-up. This part of the face is delicate. Therefore, also avoid washing yourself with cold water as soon as you get up.
Step 6. Don't touch your face
If you touch yourself, you spread the bacteria that can irritate the pores. If you have to touch your face to put on your makeup or face cream, be sure to wash your hands first.
Also, avoid placing your face on objects that attract sebum and dead cells, such as your phone. Sebum is a light fatty substance produced by the sebaceous glands, and it hydrates our skin and hair
Step 7. Use makeup suitable for your skin type
If you can, buy makeup that says "non-comedogenic" or "non-acneic" on the label - they're made to help prevent acne and pimples and won't clog your pores.
- Make sure you don't use old tricks. Cosmetics have an expiration date, like foods. If you use them after this date they will give more problems than good.
- Try using mineral-based or water-based makeup instead of oil-based makeup to avoid giving your skin a greasy, dull look.
Step 8. Drink lots of water
Drink at least 8 glasses of water a day. If you keep it hydrated, your body will be better able to function well, which means that your skin will also be healthy and clean.
Step 9. Eat a healthy diet
Eat lots of vegetables and fruit and eliminate sugar and "junk food".
- Try low-fat dairy products. A low-fat yogurt contains vitamin A, which is very beneficial to the skin, and lactobacillus acidophilus, a "live" bacterium that helps maintain gut health, which has a positive effect on skin health.
- Eat foods with a lot of antioxidants like blackberries, blueberries, strawberries, and plums.
- Try foods that provide essential fatty acids necessary for skin health. You find them for example in salmon, walnuts and flax seeds. Essential fatty acids contribute to cell membrane health, which in turn leads to healthy skin.
Part 2 of 2: Keep Your Face Clean for the Long Term
Step 1. Do face cleansing
You can go to the beautician or do it at home with the many products available, perhaps with the help of someone. Just remember to use products that are suitable for your skin type.
A good homemade face mask contains honey and milk. Mix these ingredients and apply them on your face for 30 minutes, then rinse with warm water
Step 2. Exfoliate the skin
By gently exfoliating the skin you will free it of dead cells, which make the skin gray and rough. Use the exfoliator once a week or a month. Do not use it more than once a week or you run the risk of eliminating the essential oils your skin needs.
- A good exfoliating treatment can improve the circulation of the face giving you a healthy and radiant complexion.
- For a homemade exfoliant, combine salt or sugar with an amalgamator such as honey or water, and a moisturizer with vitamin E oil, jojoba oil or olive oil. If you have oily skin you can mash a banana or avocado which will act as a moisturizer.
Step 3. Eliminate pimples
While squeezing pimples is satisfying, that's just the wrong way to get rid of them! Wash your hands well before touching the pimples to avoid infections.
- Do not touch the pimples or squeeze them so as not to irritate them. If you squeeze pimples and are not careful, you may be left with scars.
- Place a cold, damp washcloth or tea bag on the pimple for three to five minutes during the day to decrease irritation.
- Use a pimple treatment that contains 1 to 2 percent salicylic acid, which is less irritating than benzoyl peroxide.
- Apply Visine with a cotton ball to the pimple to reduce redness.
Advice
Never rub the skin, but pat it gently
Warnings
- During the winter, when it is nice to take long hot showers, do not overdo the cleansing of the face, you could make the skin dry faster.
- Allergies to cosmetics can cause a number of different reactions. If you have a reaction to a product, stop using it and find something else.
- If you have sensitive skin, try the milk and honey mixture on a small portion of skin before applying it all over your face.
