Trains are fun to draw! This tutorial will show you how to draw a high speed train and a cartoon train.
Steps
Method 1 of 2: High Speed Train
Step 1. Draw a triangle and a rectangle
Draw an outline around these shapes to get the shape of a high-speed train.
Step 2. Draw another rectangle adjacent to the shape you made earlier
You can add as many rectangles as you want, depending on how long you want the train to be.
Step 3. Draw small rectangles at the bottom of the train
Place the rectangles where you imagine the wheels are.
Step 4. Add small circles to make the wheels
Step 5. Trace the train doors using vertical rectangles and the windows using squares
Step 6. Add some outer lines as decoration, they will help you color the train
You can be very creative with the decoration you choose; this example uses curved lines.
Step 7. Color the train however you like
Method 2 of 2: Classic Cartoon Style Train
Step 1. Draw a rough outline of the train using squares and rectangles
Step 2. Add wheels using circles
Make the third wheel bigger than the others.
Step 3. Erase the lines in the middle of each wheel and add windows using squares
Step 4. Add details to the wheels by drawing smaller circles inside each of them
Step 5. Add details to the train locomotive using basic shapes such as triangles and squares
