Contact lenses can be the best friends of anyone who doesn't like wearing prescription glasses. Nevertheless, there are many people who choose not to use them because they are afraid of the idea of coming into contact with their eyes. If you want to find out how to take off your lenses without touching your eyes, read on.
Steps
Step 1. Wash your hands with warm water and soap
You will eliminate any bacteria on the skin that could be transferred to the eye area, causing possible infections, redness and swelling.
Make sure you have clean nails and if possible keep them short and tidy to eliminate any traces of buildup. This is an advice and not an obligation, in fact there are many girls who, despite having long nails, use this method to remove contact lenses, in order not to risk injuring themselves when coming into contact with the eyes
Step 2. Bring your dominant hand towards one eye
With one finger (usually the ring finger or index finger), lift the mobile eyelid until the upper inner rim is visible. With the other hand, do the same on the lower lid.
Step 3. Pull the eyelids firmly, then bring the two inner rims closer by moving the upper outer rim up and the lower outer rim down
The contact lens should be automatically ejected.
Step 4. Repeat with the other eye
Your contact lenses will be removed without you having to come into contact with the inside of your eyes.
