Wasps aren't very dangerous, but they can be very irritating and annoying to you, your kids and pets. Fortunately, wasps, like any other insect, can also be kept under control, using the right methods.
Ingrediants
Honey or jam
Steps
Step 1. Check all rooms in the house
Check for wasps. If the room does not contain any, close or lock the door and all windows to make sure they cannot enter.
Step 2. Get a jar of jam or a jar of honey (both work)
Step 3. Put some water in the jar with the jam or honey
Make sure the container has a lid.
Step 4. Place the pot in the room where the wasps are
Step 5. They should fly into the jar; if not, use a paper towel and push them in
Step 6. Put the lid on the jar and keep it closed for a minute or two
Step 7. Repeat this method until all wasps are eliminated
Advice
- Honey is usually better, but jam is just as good for this trap.
- This system works only for wasps.
- Clean the jar if jam or honey comes out, because the wasps could be attracted to the one outside, and not enter.
- This method works best in the summer.
- There are other methods, this is one among many.
- Make sure that the honey or jam does not dirty the outside of the jar otherwise the wasps will eat those instead of entering the jar.
- It is better if you wear warm clothes, so that you are less likely to be stung.
Warnings
- Don't open the windows. Even more wasps could enter the house.
- To prevent stings, wear protective clothing, especially if you are allergic.
- Try to keep food away from wasps!
- If you have a lot of wasps in your home, there may be a nest nearby.
- Wasps can get nervous, so be careful as they may sting you!
