Disabling the GPS service on your iPhone is really very simple. If you don't use it, your device's battery life may increase, plus you'll prevent hackers, apps and third parties from seeing your location!
Steps
Step 1. Go to your phone's "Home" screen and click on the Settings icon
Step 2. From the Settings panel, select the "Privacy" item
Step 3. Choose the "Location" option
Step 4. From this screen you will be able to disable the GPS function
Move the "Location" switch to the "0" position
Step 5. You can completely disable the GPS function by turning the "Location" switch located at the top of the panel
Alternatively, you can disable GPS for each individual application installed by turning the relative switch.
Advice
- If the GPS function is disabled, some of the applications installed on your phone may not work. However, upon startup, each application should notify you that a problem has been encountered.
- Disabling GPS may help your device save memory.
