This wikiHow teaches you how to download Snapchat images and videos to your phone's camera roll instead of saving them in the "Memories" folder.
Steps
Part 1 of 2: Change the Download Folder
Step 1. Open Snapchat
The icon depicts a white ghost on a yellow background.
If you are not already logged in, tap "Log in", then enter your username (or email address) and password
Step 2. Once the camera is open, swipe down to open your profile page
Step 3. Tap ⚙️ at the top right
Step 4. Tap Memories
It's almost at the bottom of the "My Account" section.
Step 5. Tap Save to
… It's the penultimate option on the page.
Step 6. Tap Camera Roll Only
This will ensure that all snaps you save (including stories) will be downloaded directly to your phone's camera roll.
Part 2 of 2: Empty the Memories Folder
Step 1. Double tap the top left arrow
This will take you back to the settings page.
Step 2. Scroll down and tap Clear Cache
This item is located in the "Account Actions" section at the bottom of the screen.
Step 3. Tap Clear Memories Cache
This way you will delete all photos saved in Snapchat Memories without removing those saved on mobile.
Step 4. Tap Delete
At this point the Memories folder will have been emptied.
