Steps
Method 1 of 3: Using the Official Xbox Method
Step 1. Go to this page with a browser
The Xbox Live "Contacts" page will open.
Step 2. Click on the category that best describes your problem
The options listed under the "Step 1: What Support Do You Need" heading include: "Xbox One", "Games", "Billing and Account", "Xbox 360", "PC Games" and "Mixer".
Step 3. Click Ask a Question
It's the green button under "Step 2: Ask a Question". A new chat window with a virtual operator will open.
- Alternatively, you can click on View other options under the "Ask a Question" button to see a list of problems. You can click on any of them under the "Step 3: Helpful Solutions" heading to view a support article about the selected issue.
- If your question is related to Mixer, click on one of the topics under "Step 2: Choose a category".
Step 4. Write your question
Use the text field at the bottom of the virtual operator window to ask your question. As you type, a list of related articles will appear above the text field. You can click on one of the links you see if they are relevant to your problem.
Step 5. Click on the icon that looks like a paper airplane
It is located to the right of the text field at the bottom of the virtual operator window. Once you submit your application you will see a list of related articles appear.
Step 6. Click on the article related to your problem
Click on the link that is closest to the solution you are interested in. If none seem useful, click on None of the above to view other articles.
Step 7. Answer the question "Did you solve your problem?
".
Click on Yup or No. By clicking on No another article related to your problem will appear.
Step 8. Reply again to "Did you solve your problem?
".
If you have not yet found information that has allowed you to solve your problem, click once again on No.
Step 9. Explain what went wrong
Before you get in touch with a real operator, you will be asked in chat what went wrong. Click on the answer that best describes the reasons why you did not find the information you are looking for. You can select "The answer was not relevant", "The answer did not work", "I have more questions on the subject" or "I would like to rephrase the question and try again".
Step 10. Choose the product you are interested in and click Next
If your question is Xbox-related, select "Xbox" in the menu that appears. If not, choose another Microsoft product and click Come on.
Step 11. Select a problem and click Next
Use the newly appeared menu to choose a problem, then click on Come on. For the Xbox, problems include: "Password recovery", "Other account problems", "Payments and purchases", "Other billing problems", "Games and apps", "Xbox on Windows 10", "Xbox Live subscriptions" "," Hardware "," Technical Support "and" Network and Connectivity ".
Step 12. Select your preferred means of communication
You have a few options available to talk to one person, including "Request a phone call", "Chat with technical support" or "Talk to the community".
Step 13. Log into your Xbox or Microsoft account
Enter the email and password associated with your account, then click on Come on. You will be put in communication with a real operator in a short time.
- Contact options vary based on your problem. You may find the options "Chat with an Xbox player" or "Tweet @xboxsupport".
- You will see the waiting time for chat and phone call under the respective options.
Method 2 of 3: Use the Xbox Support Forums
Step 1. Go to this address with a browser
This is the Xbox Forums webpage, available in English only. Here you can get a response from the Xbox user community.
Step 2. Click Search
You will see this button in the upper right corner of the page. Press it and a search bar will appear at the top.
Step 3. Type a question or some keywords, then press Enter
Use the search bar above to enter your question or search for words relevant to your problem. Awards Enter when you are done writing. All discussions related to your search will appear.
You can narrow your search with the "Category" and "Topic" menus, which are located right above the results. You can also filter the results by clicking on the buttons next to "All", "Questions", "Discussions" and "Forum Articles"
Step 4. Click on a result related to your problem
Read the text under the link to make sure the discussion is related to your problem and doesn't just deal with a similar topic. When you are sure that the person who created the discussion has asked a question related to your problem, click on the link to view the entire discussion.
Step 5. Scroll down to read the answers
In the forums, under the question you will find the answers. Scroll down and check if they help you solve your problem.
Step 6. Click Sign In in the upper left corner
If you can't find a question you are interested in in the forums, you can log into the site and create a discussion yourself. To do this, click on Sign In.
Step 7. Click the button next to "Use my Xbox gamer tag"
It is the second entry on the login page. This will use your Xbox gamer tag as the username on the forum.
Alternatively, you can select "Create a new Community display name", then type in the username you prefer to use
Step 8. Click on the check mark
next to "I accept the Microsoft Community Code of Conduct".
By doing this you agree to follow the forum rules.
Step 9. Click Finish
You will see this blue button at the bottom of the page. You will log into the forum with your chosen username and return to the home page.
Step 10. Click on the Xbox icon
It is the third on the forum home page.
Step 11. Click Ask a question
It is the fourth entry in the upper left corner, next to the Microsoft logo. This will open a form to fill out that you can use to post a question on the forums.
Step 12. Write the subject in the first line
Choose a phrase that informs forum users about the nature of your problem. You can write "Cannot connect to Xbox Live" (can't connect to Xbox Live) or "Issues Playing Minecraft online" (can't play Minecraft online).
Step 13. Write a detailed explanation of your problem
Use the large "Details" text field to describe your problem. Make sure you include all relevant information. Enter a detailed explanation of the problem, the games or apps it occurs in, and the devices you use.
Step 14. Select a category
Below the text field you will see two menus named "Category". The first should already be compiled (Xbox). In the second, select the sub-category in which your problem can be classified. Options include "Accessibility", "Games and Apps", "Networking Hardware Information", "Sales and Promotions", "TV Hardware Information", "Xbox on Consoles", "Xbox on Mobile Devices" and "Gaming on Windows PCs".
Step 15. Make sure the "Notify me when someone responds to this post" box is checked
This way you will receive an email when a user posts a reply to your post.
Step 16. Click Submit
This way you post your question on the forum. You will be notified when someone answers your question.
Method 3 of 3: Contact Xbox by Phone
Step 1. Go to this address with a browser
The Xbox Live "Contacts" page will open.
Step 2. Click on the category that best describes your problem
The options listed under the "Step 1: What Support Do You Need" heading include: "Xbox One", "Games", "Billing and Account", "Xbox 360", "PC Games" and "Mixer". Once you have selected your problem, choose "Request a call from support" from the contact methods.
Step 3. Wait for the XBox support phone call
Below the call request button you can see the estimated wait times, which are usually less than one minute.
