Would you like Netflix to start showing your favorite show or movie? You're not the only one. The platform allows subscribers to request titles they can't wait to have available by following a simple procedure. After logging into your account, visit the "Help Center" and follow the link provided to suggest new titles. If you don't have a Netflix account, you can get a one-month free trial anytime you want.
Steps
Part 1 of 2: Making Requests on Netflix
Step 1. Log into your account
The first step to request movies and TV shows on Netflix is to log into your account. If you don't have a subscription, you can sign up for a one-month free trial.
Step 2. Visit the "Help Center"
After logging into Netflix, scroll to the bottom of your account home page. At the bottom of the screen you will see various links, including "Help Center". Click on it.
Step 3. Scroll down to the section titled "Quick Links"
After being redirected to the "Help Center", scroll down the page until you find the section titled "Quick Links". These links include the option to request new shows or movies from Netflix.
Step 4. Click on the quick link "Request a movie or TV series"
This will open a form where you can enter your requests. Netflix allows you to suggest up to three shows or movies at a time. Write your suggestions in the box and click on the red button that says "Send suggestion".
Step 5. Submit additional requests
After submitting the first three initial suggestions, you will be redirected to a page where Netflix will thank you for the feedback. You will also see a red button that says "Suggest more titles". Click on it to propose further content.
Step 6. Do not apply for a certain title more than once
Requesting the same movie or show multiple times will not encourage Netflix to upload it to the platform. Netflix keeps track of the proposals received by individual users and those sent multiple times are treated as a single request.
Step 7. Use the Netflix application to request content
You can show movies and shows on many devices using the application. Select the menu in the lower right corner of the screen. Tap or click on "Help", an option that you will find almost at the bottom of the list that will appear. Then, tap or click on "Help Center". The help center will be opened using a browser, where you can follow the same instructions as before.
Step 8. Sit back and relax
After submitting the request using the form, you will not be able to do anything else. Keep an eye on recently added titles and cross your fingers! It is important to remember that not all the required titles are actually published on Netflix.
Part 2 of 2: Sign up for Netflix
Step 1. Visit the Netflix website
You can sign up for Netflix by visiting www.netflix.com. The account can be created using most internet-connected devices. However, you may find it easier to open an account on a computer.
Step 2. Click on the "Try free for 30 days" box
When you visit the Netflix homepage, you will see a red box that says "Try free for 30 days". Click on it, in order to start the registration process. Keep in mind that you can cancel your subscription at any time during the free trial.
Step 3. Choose a subscription plan
Selecting a subscription type is the first step to setting up your 30-day free trial. Click on the "See plans" box. You can choose from three subscriptions: basic, standard and premium. Click on the red box of the one that's right for you. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click on the red box with the word "Continue".
- The basic plan costs 7.99 euros and allows you to watch Netflix on only one screen at a time;
- The standard plan costs 11.99 euros and allows you to watch Neflix on two screens at a time;
- The premium plan costs 15.99 euros and allows you to watch Netflix on up to four screens at a time. Includes Ultra HD functionality.
Step 4. Create an account
The second step to start the free trial is to create an account. Enter your e-mail address and password in the fields indicated, then click on the red box marked "Continue".
Step 5. Set up a payment method and enter your billing information
This way you can enjoy Netflix for free for one month. To get the free trial you will need to enter a payment method (PayPal, credit or debit card) and your billing information. After your free trial period has expired, you will be billed for the plan you chose during the registration process. You will not be charged for the free trial.
- Netflix will send you an email three days before the trial period ends to remind you that you will be charged for the subscription.
- The Netflix subscription can be canceled at any time.
Step 6. Start the free trial period
After entering your payment and billing information, you can start the trial. Check the boxes next to the devices listed on the next page for Netflix to know which ones you will be using. At that point, you will be prompted to select a sample of films and series of your liking, in order to help the site give you personalized suggestions.
