Middle schools are full of wonderful opportunities and ideas. Make the most of your middle school years with these tips!
Steps
Step 1. Make friends
Find friends and girlfriends who love you as you are! Just go to your classmates and start talking. Nothing serious, just something light and simple. Also be fun if you like.
Step 2. Be quiet among others
Never try to pull yourself. If they see that you are trying to be popular, they will think that you are a loser. Be nice to everyone. Gossip is never good: you can be popular even without gossip!
Step 3. Try something new
A new sport, something you enjoy and will be good at. If sports aren't your thing, try a club or start one. Find a good way for others to be popular!
Step 4. Wear what you think looks good on you
Avoid looking at popular guys to copy what they like. Never try to steal their boyfriends and don't try too hard to get into their loop.
Step 5. Don't copy others
It is not okay to copy the style of others. Try to be creative and create your own style.
Step 6. Don't pretend
Don't try to act like someone else, because it's YOU! It's your life.
Step 7. Never let any of your friends control your life
You would regret it.
Step 8. Keep your old friends, but also make new ones
Don't be afraid to meet anyone - sporty, hip, theatrical, transgressive - because there are interesting people everywhere. Don't be afraid to socialize with males and females alike!
Step 9. Pay no attention to the “popular” crowd
You know, those groups of girls / boys who act like it's just them, but then they're just full of backstabbing stupid things (some call them "The Untouchables"). They won't hurt you if you don't go and tease them. Be friendly, but don't be a doormat. However, if you hear them speak ill of a friend of yours, immediately take up his defense. It might surprise you, but this will actually INCREASE their respect for you.
Step 10. Get dressed
It could be difficult … Basically, stay true to yourself, don't conform to others, but experiment a little. Grab some magazines, shop and find new ideas. But don't change who you are or how you look just because that's what's "going" this season. Basically, think about what you're wearing, but don't go crazy for it.
Step 11. Make up
Ok, look, some find "raccoon" eyeliner attractive (you know, very, very heavy). However, it can be quite ridiculous, and it is a widespread opinion among many people.
Step 12. Many kids go into junior high and go crazy about their bodies
The super sporty ones generally only care how fast they can run and for how long, how many baskets they can make in a game and if they can kick like Beckham. However, many guys ruin themselves behind their bodies. A general rule is: take care of yourself. Get moving - run, take dance lessons, sign up for a team sport. Keep an eye on what you eat and make sure you also take care of your personal hygiene. Don't go crazy though! Boys' bodies are changing in junior high, so you'll get a little fat, and then you'll lose weight again.
Step 13. Always put school first
While it may seem nerdy at first, your friends will find it cooler that you skipped an episode of Glee to study for the test rather than not study, fail the test, and be punished for a week.
Step 14. Many are engaged
Join the group. Simply find the right person for you. Having a girlfriend is a great way to become popular. They can introduce you to their friends and you will broaden your circle of acquaintances. Never be too clingy in public, it's not nice. Behave as you would behave with other friends.
Step 15. Chewing gum
Always available - and always be ready to offer. It will make you more sympathetic to many.
Step 16. Get involved
Play sports, after school activities, volunteer, join clubs and even the school musical. It will help you make new friends, and you will have a lot of fun. Also, the more you do, the more people will know who you are.
Step 17. Above all, stay true to yourself
Ultimately, you want people to think you're good. Have fun!
Advice
- Don't go after every boy or girl you see!
- Don't use drugs or alcohol. It's not cool at all.
- Try new hairstyles! Look for some cute ideas online or in magazines!
- Don't befriend someone just because they're popular.
- Be different, come up with original ideas and don't care what other people think.
- Remember that being cool in school isn't REALLY important. If you are with a group of friends you like, you don't need anyone else! You don't even need to be something you're not, so if the cool new look isn't your thing, forget it.
- Try to listen to more music and also get people to know new music! This will also determine your popularity!
- Be awake in school.
- Don't tease or piss "hot" girls. They have a trick: they always surround themselves with a large group before facing you.
- Try to meet new people! The more friends you have, the more popular you are.
- Try Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram. Socialize and find friends on Facebook!
