This article shows you how to log out of Snapchat, i.e. how to disconnect your account from its application. Read on to find out how.
Steps
Part 1 of 3: Log Out of the Mobile App
Step 1. Launch the Snapchat application
It is characterized by a yellow icon on which a small white ghost is imprinted, which is also the logo of the social network.
Step 2. Swipe your index finger down on the screen
Do this from the main screen of the app, the one where the view taken by the device's camera is visible. This way, you will have access to your profile page.
Step 3. Press the ⚙️ button
It is located in the upper right corner of the screen.
Step 4. Scroll down the menu that appeared to be able to locate and select the Exit item
This is the last option on the list.
Step 5. When prompted, press the Exit button
You will be automatically redirected to the Snapchat application login page.
Part 2 of 3: Log Out of the My Account Web Page
Step 1. Log in to the Snapchat account management web page
Through this website it is possible to independently manage some aspects related to your Snapchat account, such as downloading the Snapcode, buying new geofilters, managing your data and changing your login password.
Remember that logging out using this webpage does not automatically disconnect your Snapchat account from all currently connected devices
Step 2. Press the ☰ button
It is located in the upper right corner of the "Manage My Account" page.
Step 3. Select the Exit option
It is located at the top of the page. By pressing it you will be disconnected from your Snapchat account management web page.
Part 3 of 3: Delete Your Account
Step 1. Launch the Snapchat application
It is characterized by a yellow icon on which a small white ghost is imprinted, which is also the logo of the social network.
If you are not already logged into your account, press the button "Login", then type the email address or username linked to your Snapchat profile and the corresponding login password.
Step 2. Swipe your index finger down on the screen
Do this from the main screen of the app, the one where the view taken by the device's camera is visible. This way, you will have access to your profile page.
Step 3. Press the ⚙️ button
It is located in the upper right corner of the screen.
Step 4. Scroll down the menu that appears to locate and select the Assistance item
It is the first option available in the "More Information" section of the "Settings" menu.
Step 5. Tap on My Account and Settings
It is located at the bottom of the page that appeared.
Step 6. Select the Account Information option
It should be the first entry in the "My Account and Settings" section.
Step 7. Choose the Delete My Account option
Step 8. Tap the blue link "page"
You can find it within the first sentence, which begins with "Go to this page …", of the second paragraph of the text that appeared.
Step 9. Type your account login password into the "Password" text field
It is located in the central part of the screen.
You may also need to enter your username in the "Username" text field
Step 10. Press the Continue button
In this way, your account will be deactivated for 30 days, to give you time to retrace your steps, after which it will be permanently deleted.
If you change your mind within 30 days of deleting your account, you can restore access to your Snapchat profile by simply logging in as you normally do
Advice
- Block access to your device by using a sign, PIN or password, to prevent malicious people from gaining access to your snaps.
- If you receive a message stating that your Snapchat account has been blocked, you can reactivate it using the social network's website.
