This article explains how to log out of your YouTube account on your computer, smartphone and tablet. You can't do this on Android devices without unlinking your account from all other Google services and apps.
Steps
Method 1 of 3: Computer
Step 1. Visit the website https://www.youtube.com using your computer browser
If you're signed in to YouTube, you'll see your profile or channel image (if you have one) appear in the circular icon in the top right corner of the page.
Step 2. Click on your profile or channel picture
It is located in the upper right corner of the page. A drop-down menu will appear.
Step 3. Click the Exit button
It is displayed approximately in the middle of the pop-up menu that appeared. This way the browser will no longer have access to your YouTube account.
Method 2 of 3: iPhone and iPad
Step 1. Launch the YouTube app on iPhone or iPad
It is characterized by a white icon inside which there is a red rectangle with a small white triangle in the center. It is normally placed on the home of the device.
Step 2. Tap your profile picture
It has a circular shape and is located in the upper right corner of the screen.
Step 3. Choose the Change Account option
It is displayed at the bottom of the appeared menu.
Step 4. Select the option Use YouTube without authentication
It is displayed at the bottom of the menu. This way, the iOS device will no longer be linked to your YouTube account.
Method 3 of 3: Android devices
Step 1. Launch the YouTube app on your Android device
It features a red rectangular icon with a white triangle inside. Normally, it is located on the device home and in the "Applications" panel.
- Remember that on Android devices it is not possible to log out of the YouTube app without deleting the Google account from the smartphone or tablet. In this way, all services and apps linked to your Google account will be logged out, including Google Maps, Gmail and the device itself (if you have synchronized it with the same profile).
- If you need to view a video anonymously, tap your profile icon in the upper right corner of the screen and choose the option Activate Incognito mode.

Step 2. Tap your profile picture
It has a circular shape and is located in the upper right corner of the screen.
Step 3. Scroll down the menu and select Change Account
It is displayed at the bottom of the appeared menu. The list of your accounts will be shown.
Step 4. Select the Manage Accounts option or Go out.
The option you'll find varies based on the app version, configuration settings, and number of accounts you have.
Step 5. Select the account you want to delete
Before you can choose the profile, you may need to tap the entry Google.
Step 6. Press the Remove Account button
If it's not visible, press the button ⁝ located in the upper right corner of the screen and choose the option Remove account. A confirmation message will be displayed to inform you that, by continuing, all data associated with the selected profile will be deleted from the Android device.
Step 7. Press the Remove Account button to confirm your action
The YouTube app and all Google apps on the device will be unlinked from the selected account.
